Divergent Love

Chapter 16

Charlottes POV.

I walk to the fear room with Noah, I've never grown closer to someone before. All my wishes of wanting to die are full of regret. I don't want to die when I could spend years loving Noah, years having a family with him, years of living and breathing!

When Four and Six come out of the fear room they look at me puzzled. Then they look at each other. After a moment Four shakes it off and announces that today will be the same as tomorrow but easier. He firstly calls Katie, then Carla, then Luke, then Vicki, then Dean, then Liam, then Noah, then Violet, them Zach, then Neil and then Annie. 4 hours later and me and Sara are the only two left. There is a long wait after Annie goes in until Sara goes in. Ill be going last. Either Annie's fear lasted along time or there is some kind of problem. 15 minutes later Six calls my name looking worried yet scared. I walk in and see Four behind the computer screen and smile at him. He doesn't smile back. Six shuts the door and doesn't begin to set me up for the stimulation.

"Go and get Will." Four whispers to Six just loud enough for me to hear. She walks out the door looking back at Four worryingly it sends a shiver up my spine.

"Why is she getting Will?" I ask.

"Because your being sent to the Erudite to be experimented on." He says staring me in the eyes.

"What?" I asked shocked.

"Did you know you were Divergent?" He asks.

"Yes but how do you know?"

"I run your simulations Charlotte."

"What happened to protecting me?" I begin to cry.

"That's before we knew you were the enemy. Divergence is not tolorated here. You don't belong here and the erudite need someone, so we told them about you and they were delighted to have you." Four snorts.

Just at that second Six, Will and 3 Dauntless men storm into the room.

"Arrest her" Will says. The men peruse me I try to run but there's no where to run. They catch me and handcuff my hands behind my back. They then tie a rope over my mouth and drag me out the room. I scream and scream, but no one will hear me. No one will care. I may as well just kill myself now, but as I was thinking this morning. I don't want to die. I want to stay alive with Noah. Noah.... What will he thinks happened to me? What will they tell the other initiates? There's only 2 more people who will be cut now. I personally hope it's Liam and Sara but they are ranked first and second I think, I doubt they will get cut now!

They drag me into the back of a van. 2 of the men sit in the back with me. The 3rd drives the van. We arrive into a black warehouse sort of room. Erudite scientist and doctors fill the room. The dauntless escort me to a cell who are being shown the way by a young Erudite boy who looks familier.

"Doctor Caleb Prior" is written on his lab coat.

"Put her in there" he says "she isn't the one we wanted but she'll do I guess."

Who did they want if I was their second choice? The guards shove me in my cell un handcuff me and lock the door. I hear their boots clomp down the echoing hallways as I sink to my knees and begin to cry.
