I remember the first time I ever layed eyes on my lover. Me, in my dark grey Abnegation clothes and him in his usual black. Even though he told me he doesn't feel like he belongs here in Dauntless I know he does. He's the only person who does belong here right down to the bone!
It's been 5 years since initiation was over and I ranked in first place and moved into Tobias' apartment. For the last 5 years we've trained new initiates each year, working the other parts of the year Tobias in the control room and me in a little clothes shop in the pit, talking about our future and yes of course making love to each other.
Today, we have a new bunch of initiates arriving. Me and Tobias train the transfers and Uriah and Zeke train the dauntless borns. We arrive at the net only a couple of minutes before they are scheduled to be there. Will managed to promote himself up to being a dauntless leader, although Eric and Max are still in charge Will is trying to create Tobias' vision of Dauntless, where everything isn't quite as violent and brutal.
The first person to jump is a small girl from amity. Uriah and I help her out of the net. She has long brown hair wrapped in pleats around her head.
"What's your name?" I ask
"Violet" she says.
"Welcome to Dauntless Violet!" Uriah beams!
"First jumper Violet!" Shouts Tobias to the crowds.
We end up with 9 transfers in total. 2 Amity - Violet and Rosie a blond perky girl with cheeks as bright as cherries.
3 from Erudite - Katherine who likes to be known as Katie is a beautiful girl with long wavey blondy pink hair. Dean a boy with black hair who is really tall and really skinny. George a boy who has broad shoulders and looks like he could break a girl like a twig.
2 from Candor - Annie a girl who much like Christina can't stop talking and as well like Christina a girl who is extreamly pretty with pale skin and brown silky hair and also Liam a strong looking Peter kind of boy with blond hair and a sticking out nose.
And lastly 2 from Abnegation one boy and one girl. Noah and Charlotte. Noah reminds me of Robert my old neighbour and seems very familiar and Charlotte I do not recognise at all, she does remind me of what I use to look like. The long blond hair in the grey robes of cloth. I do mourn that life, but I love this new person that I have become just as much.
"Hello my name is Four and this is Six" says Tobias gesturing to us both.
"Your names are so cool! Are they like the numbers?" Annie asks
"Yes," I reply. "Now transfers follow us and we will show you around!"
We show them the pit, the chasm, the dormitories and then finally the cafeteria where we dismiss them for dinner. Me and Tobias join our friends at a table. I sit next to him and then Uriah slides down next to me , Zeke opposite him. Christina and Will also join us aswell as Lauren, Lynn, Shauna. Marlene is missing.
"Uri, where's Marlene?" I ask
"She said she was busy doing something." Uriah replies. They have been dating for a while now. Not as long as me and Tobias or Will and Christina but not long after we got together, they did too.
"How are the transfers?" Zeke asks
"A weird mix." Tobias replies. " Alot of Erudite!"
"And mostly all girls!" I add.
"Aw well we have loads of boys and like no girls." Uriah says. "There is 8 boys 3 girls."
"So we have 20 in total?" I ask
"Yeah, just like your year!" Tobias says nudging my side with his elbow.
"Just like my year" I giggle. After dinner we explain to the transfers that they should be in the training room for 8 tomorrow and then me and Tobias walk back to our apartment hand in hand and as usual we shower together, watch a film on his TV and then curl up into his bed and kiss and make love just like we do Every night! I love Tobias so much and he loves me!
