Divergent Love

Chapter 2

"Today we will focus on two things" Tobias says in his loud yet sexy voice. "The first being to learn how fire a gun, the second learning how to fight!"

"Fight?" Asks Charlotte the Abnegation girl. She is alot louder than i ever was.

"Yes fight." I add. "You will fight each other"

The looks on their faces are varied. Some are excited and some are sad or scared I can't quite tell.

"I suggest you watch Four very closely, he will show you how to fire a gun." I add. As Tobias demonstrates I wonder about the initiates watching them.

"Hey Six," says Liam "I think your kind of fit!"

"Do you now?" I ask. "I'm not an available target I have a boyfriend and he's the one carrying a bigger gun than you right now so eyes of me and focus on that target!" I yell. I walk across the room towards Tobias.

"Was Liam hitting on you?" He asks.

"Yes, I am quite repulsed actually. He reminds me a lot of Peter." I say.

"Peter came from Candor right?" He asks.

"Yeah, there was 5 candors, 3 erudite and.."

"One super mega foxy awesome hot abnegation" he interrupts me.

"Yes. Maybe he has a brother?" I ask.

"We should ask him" Tobias says.

"That will be hard considering he works by the fence. We'll have to find out his work hours." I explain.

"We can talk about it later." He says. By this time most of the initiates have hit the targets. Except one girl Rosie. Tobias catches onto this and begins to tell at her.

"What's wrong with you this is pathetic!" He yells.

"I'm sorry sir I just don't feel comfortable with a gun in my hand!" She cries.

"The stiffs don't feel comfortable but do you hear them moaning tree hugger?" He yells louder.

"No"

"Well then, I think you should man up and hold the gun and learn how to fire at a stupid target. If your finding this hard then you may as well kiss initiation goodbye. Your going to get beat up and put through pain for no reason." He says in his quiet terrifying voice.

"Four is right!" I add. "Any of you who find this hard better leave now."

"Fine then!" Rosie cries. " I quit! Good luck fighting everyone. I don't want to risk my life for these people."

And that was that. She ran out the door packed her bags and left. We never saw her again.

Later that day after lunch Tobias teaches them all how to fight. I stop by Violet and give her some advice. She is tiny like I was before I gained some muscle and I tell her the advice my boyfriend told me.

"You want to use your elbows and knees if you can." I say. "It will put more power for when you attack!"

I then move on to Liam. I stop at him and watch him.

"What you staring at?" He asks. "Work out that I could give you alot more than Four can?"

"No that's not why I'm staring at you and no you never could, no one can beat my Four!" I laugh.

"Then why are you staring at me?"

"Because you remind me and you look like an ignorant evil Candor transfer who was in my initiate class. I hated ?him and I hate you so you are basically his double." I explain.

"My brother?" He asks

"Peter?"

"That's my older brother. He works the fences so I'm told. I've not seen him yet, and I don't think he knows I'm here." He beams.

"Yes, you will see him on visiting day I'm sure." I add.

"Wait... So does that mean your Tris? The stiff who came out top?" He asks.

Tobias comes to my rescue and manages to save me before I say the wrong thing.

"Yes she is Tris but she is no longer a stiff and she came out top because she is a Dauntless legend Liam!" Tobias says calmly yet he sounds intimidating but not to me.

"I'm not scared of you!" Liam says to Tobias.

"I didn't ask you if you were!" Tobias whispers.

When the clock struck 6 we gathered the initiates around.

"Today Rosie declared her self as a coward and chose to leave Dauntless for good. Now there is 8 of you left which means all of you will fight tomorrow." I explain. "Four fights will happen which we will decide apon over night."

"Each of you will face four fights each. Over the next 5 days you will compete in these fights as well as get some training in knife throwing." He smiles.

We dismiss them and once they have all left we share are first long kiss in the last 10 hours. After dinner instead of going back to our appartment for our typical evening together, we go for a walk around the pit. I need more make up an clothes so after spending 40 points out of my 200 for the month I buy a couple of DVDs for me and Tobias to watch!

After our shopping trip we go to the bar. The bar is room full of chairs and tables with a small dance floor. We see Uriah and Marlene and join them at their table.

"Some of the Dauntless initiates are pathetic Four!" Uriah snorts.

"How come ?" I ask

"They can't fight!" He laughs.

A waiter comes over and asks us for our orders, this is a good excuse to ignore Uriahs terrible drunk jokes.

"2 beers, 2 glasses of red wine, and 16 shots of vodka please." Tobias askls.

Not long after the drinks arrive and we start taking the shots of vodka ican feel the alcohol begin to take control of my body. And so this would seem for all four of us.

"Uri! Your the best thing that ever happened to me!" Marlene squealed and then jumped on his lap and began kissing him vigorously.

"Tobias Eaton! You are the sexiest person I have ever met!" I giggle.

"I know!" He laughs kissing me.

"ONE MORE ROUND!" Uriah yells wafting a 20 dollar bill in his hand toward the bartender.

That night I could barely remember, all I remember is going back to the apartment drunk, puking in the shower and having sex with Tobias. Nothing felt better than that night!
