Year 4: Scattered Beans

Leni woke up and realized that Bolet left already. She immediately took a bath and fixed herself hoping she could still go to Digong and personally greet him before he flies to France.

She asked her driver to drive her to Malacañang and he made it possible, they arrived at the place at nine.

"Mam Leni!" One of Digong's assistant sounded enthused upon seeing her. "Uy, sorry hindi ako nakaabot kagabi, may mga tinapos lang na papeles tapos nagloko pa yung phone ko." She explained. "Ay ayos lang mam. Hinahanap nga kayo ni Digong kagabi." He replied.

"Si Digong ba nandiyan? Babatiin ko kase sana ng personal. Anong oras pala yung flight niya?" She asked making him feel a bit down. "Ay mam... ngayong nine po flight ni Digong papuntang France. Kanina pa pong mga eight sila lumakad papuntang airport." He informed her.

Her heart broke as she missed the chance to personally greet him for his birthday. She felt bad that she made him expect her presence last night and she didn't even make it.

"Ganon ba?" She uttered and felt remorse.

She left the palace feeling so empty and bad for missing the chance to greet him. She knew how much it would mean to him to receive a greeting from her but she missed it.

Yvette went up to Leni's unit for a girlfriend bonding. "Girl, nakasalubong ko si Bolet sa baba ha. Kamusta na pala? Kayo na ba ulit?" She asked.

Leni chuckled faintly, "Hindi naman kami naghiwalay." She corrected her. She facetiously rolled her eyes.

"Eh di sige, irerephrase ko. Siya na ba ulit yung mahal mo? Pano na si Digong?" She stated, Leni felt so heavy.

"Wala na kami ni Digong diba?" Leni reminded her. "Oo pero alam ko namang nandiyan parin si Digong sa puso mo. Di ba? Aminin mo." She retorted.

"Baliw, hindi pwede." She replied. "Bakit? Dahil boyfriend mo si Bolet? Jusko Leni. Alam mo, kahit nauna si Bolet kay ano, ramdam ko na mas matimbang parin si Digong sayo. Wag mo i-deny." She responded, Leni looked at her quietly.

"Ikaw na nagsabi. Boyfriend ko si Bolet." She replied.

"Oh diba totoo? Compare mo sa hindi na mabilang na beses niyo ni Bolet na naging intimate and everything simula nung naging kayo. I mean look, mas matagal man naging kayo ni Bolet pero mas minahal mo parin si Digong kahit ilang taon lang kayo." She tried to prove a point. "Hindi ko alam, Yvette." She replied feeling so confused.

"Anong hindi mo alam? Alam mo yan, ayaw mo lang aminin yan sa sarili mo." She refuted.

Leni sighed heavily, she felt so guilty. Every word that came out of Yvette's mouth appeared to be accurate. She really loves Digong, she really do.

"Anong gagawin ko? Kahit naman mahal ko siya, hindi pwede. Gugulo kung ipipilit ko." She confided.

"Alam mo, Leni, isa lang naman ang possible cause ng gulo. Yun ay yung malaman ni Digong yung sainyo ni Bolet sa ibang tao. Kung ako sayo, magconfess ka na sakanya habang maaga." She suggested.

"Kung magalit siya eh di magalit, pero huhupa din yan. Ang mahalaga sa'yo nanggaling." She followed. Leni knew she had a point but then she feared to disappoint and hurt him. Hence, telling the truth is the best and safest option.

After the talk with Yvette, Leni reflected alone in her room and thought about telling everything to Digong and ending things up with Bolet. He was very understanding of her ever since and she held into this concept.

He won't be mad because he understands. He won't leave me because he loves me.
