Chapter 3: Life Lesson

We walked out back to where the battle fields were.

"How about a two on two battle?" I asked.

"Fine with me." Serena said determined. I pulled out two pokeballs.

"Froakie, Charmander let's go." They both appeared happily as I threw their pokeballs.

"Eevee, Fennekin!" I watched as they appeared as well.

"Charmander Flame Burst! Froakie Bubble!" I called out.

"Eevee dodge, then use Tackle. Fennekin use Flamethrower!" The two Pokemon blasted back towards mine. 

"Dodge both of you, then use Flamethrower and Water Gun!" I called out quickly as they both jumped out of the way quickly. Charmander was able to blast Eevee away into Fennekin, then the Water Gun pushed them back further into Serena finally. 

"Eevee, Fennekin..." She hugged them both against her and she glared at me. "What's your problem?!" 

"My problem? What's your problem?!" I glared back at her. I had, had enough of this annoying girl. 

"I don't have a problem!" 

"Well neither do I!" We were constantly yelling back between each other, before Umbreon jumped between us. I noticed her ears were flat and she was baring her fangs, but not at Serena. It was towards one of the roofs nearby. I turned my attention to the roof in question to see a guy with black hair standing there with a Charizard. "Is there something I can help you with?" I asked him. 

"Are you Katherine, the niece of Professor Sycamore?" I nodded once. 

"What's it to you?"

"You can use Mega Evolution right?" Again I nodded, before noticing the necklace around the Charizard's neck. It had a mega stone in the middle of it, so he knew how to use mega evolution as well. 

"I see you do as well." 

"I want a battle." I chuckled. 

"Sorry, but I'm not in the mood to battle anyone else today." I turned and waved back at him lightly. "Maybe another day." 

"You will battle me now or else." He growled angrily. 

"Or else what?"

"Or else you will learn what it means to feel true pain." I stopped and looked back at him harshly. 

"Is that a threat?" He smirked. 

"Why don't you continue to walk away and you'll find out." I clenched my teeth together.

"I don't handle threats very well." I turned sharply and I felt my anger getting out of control for some reason. I normally could control it better, I mean I had months and months of practice after the whole incident in Sinnoh and then again in Unova. My hands started shaking violently. Something wasn't right...

"Kat?" Umbreon looked at me worried. 

"Why is he enraging me so much..." I muttered under my breath. 

"Kat, what's wrong?" Umbreon asked, but she sounded so far away. I changed into a Lucario quickly. 

'She can transform into Pokemon?!" Serena yelled shocked. 

"As expected Lysandre will be most pleased." I heard the guy say. His Charizard took off towards me. I made a Bone Rush appear in my hands, before swinging it down hard on Charizard's head. 

"Stop Kat!" Umbreon called out to me. I looked at her feeling some reasoning coming back, but it was quickly thrown back again as Charizard knocked me back into a tree nearby. I heard more voices, followed by someone stepping in front of me.
