Just so everyone knows this is going to be an extremely short chapter for the sole purpose of just letting everyone know what's happening again for our young heroes.
After Lysandre was arrested with the rest of Team Flare I finally felt like I could start my journey again. We had all regrouped together in Lumoise City. Xerneas had went back to her home in the deep forest I had wandered into.
"So Kat, are you going to challenge the gyms again?" Ash asked.
"That's the plan." I said smiling lightly.
"If that's the case, would you maybe-" I cut him off.
"It's nice for you to offer, but I think I need to go on my own from here. Umbreon and I can handle whatever comes our way, right buddy?" She nodded cheerfully.
"Alright..." He seemed sad.
"I'll see you in the Kalos League. You better be ready for that." I said brightly. He peeked up and nodded.
"You bet we will." I chuckled.
"We'll see you later." I started walking away with Umbreon as the exit to town came.
"Take care!" Ash called out after us.
"Yeah, you too!" I waved back to him. "Well Umbreon are you ready?" I asked once we were through the gate.
"You know I am." I grinned.
"Yup, next stop the Tower of Mastery."
