Chapter 6: Breaking Free

A few more days passed I think before I had finally found a way to break the metal bars completely from my cage. Lysandre hadn't come back since the first day and the only people who came in were the grunts who were to give me some food and then leave. I rushed out of the cage and jumped into the air blasting the door open with a quickly Sonic Boom.

The grunts that had been guarding the door were blasted into the wall, they laid on the ground unconscious.

I rushed down the hallways and finally I came across a door that led outside. I blasted it open, and rushed out into a new town, it was weirdly made. There were rocks sticking out of the ground everywhere, but all I was focusing on was getting out of this place before Lysandre finds out I escaped.

I rushed out of the town, past row upon row of rocks sticking out of the ground. But they were shaped like some Pokemon. It was really weird. I rushed through another town, but I saw some people turn to stare at me as if it was weird to see a random Absol running around a city.

I jumped onto a roof and then onto some rocks. I rushed on the rocks and then looked out at the sea.

Umbreon?

Kat, is everything alright?

I escaped, where do you want to meet?

Lumoise City. Your uncle's lab.

Alright.

I jumped down on to the ground once more, then took off in the direction of the main city in the center of Kalos.

When I arrived it was close to sunset. I rushed to my uncle's lab, the girl at the front desk nearly screamed when she saw me. I rushed into the elevator and clicked the button with my nose, for some reason I felt more comfortable in my Absol form than my human form. I padded out of the elevator as I arrived in my uncle's office. Umbreon, Ash, Bonnie, Serena and Clemont turned and gave a sigh of relief to see me. Even Serena, which surprised me.

"Kat, it's alright. No one is going to hurt you here." My uncle explained gently as he came over to me. I backed away a step and bared my fangs. He stopped and frowned as he saw my reaction to him.

"You allowed him to attack me. You allowed them to hurt me, this is just as much your fault!" I growled sharply, before changing back to my human form, which was pretty damaged from all the straining, running and fighting I had endured in the last couple of weeks.

"Kat..." Umbreon muttered.

"I know, it's pretty bad." I looked in the mirror my uncle had on his desk. My entire face was bruised and cut, my arms were bruised down to my hands which were red and sore from all the running. My legs were shaky from the running, but I knew they were also bruised.

"Pretty bad is an understatement." Ash said as they all just stared at me as if I was a new species of Pokemon.

"Lysandre and Alain caused this. Team Flare chased me up and down, left and right, any direction you can think of they chased me. I never slept in the last few days before I appeared in Dendemille Town. I was constantly running, so when I was blown into the wall...well my body had finally reached it's limit." I looked away from everyone, then went to the window. Night had fallen and I saw that the streets were still filled with people.

"Kat?" I heard Ash say kind of nervous, probably because he was worried he would say something wrong to me.

"Yes?"

"Are you going to be alright?" I turned to face him.

"Does it look like I'm going to be alright?"

"No..."

"Then you have your answer." I went back to staring outside.

Katherine...

Xerneas, what's wrong?

Lysandre...

Where?

I don't know...

I think I know where. I'll come find you just stay strong.

Please hurry.

I turned away from the window and started walking towards the elevator.

"Where are you going?" Umbreon asked.

"Xerneas needs my help."

"Xerneas, the legend of life?!" My uncle exclaimed.

"Yes, I met her when I was on the run. She allowed me to rest in her home. Now Lysandre has her and I have to go and find her before it's too late." I clicked the button.

"We're coming with." Ash stated as I got into the elevator.

"I won't try and stop you but you have to let me save Xerneas, she trusts me." They all nodded and we headed out of the lab.
