Caitlin breifly glanced at her phone she had some texts from barry.

9:30- I miss you x
10:40- I have great news
11:08- I will meet you for dinner
11:21-i will come pick you up for lunch see you at S.T.A.R labs.
12:00-see you soon I was thinking big belly burger 💕

Caitlin smiled at her phone she loved barry more then anything.

She checked the time barry was due at any minuet so she gathered her stuff she was about to pick her bag up when she felt two strong arms wrapped around her waist.

"Hey beautiful" barry whispered in her ear caitlin lent back in to him her head rested on his shoulder close to his and he kissed her cheek.

"Guess who got offered a job as my partner in the lab?" Barry whispered Caitlin turned around to face him she placed her hands around his neck.

"Huummm let me think?.." She teased then pecked his lips barry laughed then kissed her but this time it lasted longer.

Someone cleared there throt behind then they pulled away to face the person who had intrupted their moment.

They both turned and saw cisco at the door "umm... this is awkward nice to see you again barry" cisco waved barry nodded

Caitlin giggled "me and barry are going to big belly burger do you want to come?" Caitlin questioned they could see cisco thinking it over before he smiled.

"Sure I could get to know my best friend in law"

Caitlin beamed Barry could tell he made caitlin happy it didnt take a genius to know that they were best friends caitlin wore the same smile that she wore with felicity and tommy.

But the smile she had for barry was diffrent it was full of love and trust and it wasn't just a smile it was a promise a promise to the man she loved a promise that she would smile at him like that forever and always.

"Let's go then" barry stated taking caitlin's hand and leading them both away cisco followed he felt like the giant 3rd wheel that stoped things from working.

When they entered big belly a few people started eyeing them the rumors at work might off disappeared but all of central city knew and they wouldn't be surprised if half the contrary knew soul mates were very rare.

She squeezed barrys hand for comfort which he gladly gave her when there heart beats sped up he could tell she was anxious they sat down at a booth when the waitress came to order she gave them a funny look "hey aren't you to that new soul mate couple?" She asked crossing her arms.

Barry nodded "yes we are" he felt citlin tighten her grip on his hand "well then you are two of the most luckiest people in the world" she stated then went to go place there orders in.

"See that wasnt so bad was it" barry mumbled putting an arm around her "no I guess not but they're still talking about us barry and saying things that aren't true" she replied

He pulled her in closer "they can't hurt us caitlin and I won't let anyone bad near you not now not ever" he whispered

Caitlin smiled slightly "I love you" she whispered "And I love you" Caitlin rested her head in its new favourite place the space between barrys neck and shoulder.

Cisco was grinning at them "so I have some questions about soul mates" he said

"So ask them" barry offered.

"Ok so can you really feel each others emotions? Oh and can you read each others minds? How do you feel being apart? What happens if one of you have a heart attack will the other one of you to? Are your hormones really increased more then everyone else's?" Cisco asked

"That a lot to anwser we can only feel the really strong emotions like sadness and happynes we can't red each others mins well we don't know we haven't tried? We..." caitlin decided she would finish for him.

"Yes we are a depressed when we are not together but it's more like there is this void that can't be filled by anything but the other person I'm not sure what would happen if one off us has a heart attack or dies that's hopefully far off in the future but I suppose are healing abilities will fix that"

"What about my last point?" Cisco asked raising his eye brows "is true?"

Caitlin and barry looked at each other before responding in unison "yes." They both mumbled

Cisco laughed "arrr to be young and in love"

This made them all chuckle

After that there food arrived and they just talked some more but not once did they mention that caitlin was going to be working with barry as off next week.
