"whats with the face?" Theo asked me when i got on our table for our dinner date. Friendly dinner date.

"Hmm. nothing." i answered and kissed his cheeks. Theo here has been a good friend of mine since our Harvard Days. i've known him since i boarded the plane and stepped on Boston Logan International Airport.

"Akala ko ba pupunta si Adam ngayong Valentines dito? thought he's getting me off the hook this year?" he asked with a playful smile on his lips. i rolled my eyes.

"You talk as if i'm being a pain in the ass, Jerk. sino kaya sating dalawa yun?" i retorted back. inirapan nya ko saka sinimangutan. i chuckled softly. "See?"

"Well Sweetheart, my first valentines day with you put me in a lot of trouble." he reminded.

"And sweetheart. not my fault. lemme remind you."

"Shut up Adrianne." he hissed. natawa ako lalo. actually this guy reminds me of Andrea. pikon.

what i'm talking about is that. yung first Valentines ko kasi na wala akong kasama sana hinila ko sya para sumama sakin sa Bar. i was so drunk then. then he tried to take me home but i insisted of staying. at ayon. kakahila nya sakin na out balance sya saka nahawakan nya yung boobs nung babaeng malapit samin. eh may kasama palang boyfriend. all hell broke lose. tinutukan sya ng baril nung boyfriend pati yung mga bodyguards. and i saved his ass by giving the boyfriend a playful wink and a sexy smile. he got distracted and we ran as fast as we could.

"alright. i'm sorry." natatawang sabi ko.

"Right." he whispered. i smiled at him. binigay nya na yung order namin sa waiter na lumapit samin.

"Di ka pa ba uuwi sa pilipinas?" he asked. i shook my head and took a sip of the wine.

"Wala naman akong kailangang gawin dun." i answered.

"Pero parang may kailangan kang balikan ata?" nakangising sabi nya. ngumisi ako pabalik saka sumandal sa upuan.

"if you're talking about my Family then they can visit me anytime they want. if its about my friends. well. they can visit me here too."

"Well, Dear. i'm talking about the man who made you cry.." the corner of my lips raised as i gave him an amuse smile.

"And why is that? do i have any unfinished business with him?" nakangising sabi ko.

"i dont know. you tell me." nakangising sabi nya. i let out a short laugh and looked at him.

"Why? do you think i'm bitter with him? Sweetheart i'm not like you. i dont feel any bitterness towards that Man. unlike you. still grieving for the love thats lost." napatiim bagang sya. ayan ang sinasabi ko sa kanya. ang hilig mag umpisa ng asaran. pikon naman.

"Dont even go there." he hissed.

"You started it." i said coolly. ignoring his tantrums.

"right." he hissed. pero nung makabawi sya ngumisi ulit sya. "And whats stopping you from going back then sweetheart?"

"My company." i answered.

"Company over your family?" amused na sabi nya.

"Why choose between two things i can have at the same time?" i answered which made him drop his jaw.

"you're not giving in, arent you?" umiiling iling na sabi nya.

"am i figthing for anything? i'm answering you truthfully and here you are thinking i'm hiding something." i gave him a lopsided grin. inantay nya munang malapag yung order namin bago sya sumagot
