As Angel locked the door she watched out the window at the three neighbors on her walkway.  Damon was by her side as she gazed into his eyes.  He looked worried as the three came forward to the house.  They had to move away from the window so they would not be seen.  Angel smiled at him and hoped he would not worry to much.  Yet he looked pale to her.  As she checked her gun and put it on.  Damon said do I need a gun also?  Angel answered not at this time.  But keep it where you can reach it any time.

She went around the house and checked all the locks on the doors and windows.  She did not want a surprise.  She made sure the phone still worked.  She could tell that Damon had questions but she did not have the time to answer any of them.  He would have to wait.  But then she picked the phone up again to call a friend and it was dead.  She wondered how that happened so fast.  Now they had no phone.  This was not good.  They both felt helpless.  There was no TV working and the radio was out.  What else could go wrong?

Then her phone rang and she jumped.  She thought it was still down.  Her friend had called to tell her that a virus had broke out and that people were not acting normal.  That some people had been attacked by it.  But some people had bite marks on them.  Damon thought how can that be?  Doctors were telling everyone to stay inside until further notice.

All at once there was a loud scream and thump on the house.  The windows were crying in the dark.  Glass was rattling.  The curtains was blowing and they had to find something to block the windows and doors.  They both knew they could not panic.
