PEETA'S POV

I've been in hospital for 5 days now and I just want to get out of it, even though I know I've got to stay here for another week at least. I hate being in here because every morning when Katniss comes to visit she says she has a nightmare.

When she came back after my first night in hospital, I could tell she had a nightmare. She looked as if she hadn't slept, but Katniss insisted she was fine. I knew her too well.

So when she comes in every morning now she lays down with me on my hospital bed and I wrap my arms around her and Willow sleeps between us. She likes it.

Im still physically weaker than usual, but that will not stop me from comforting my Katniss.

"Katniss?" I ask her when she is lying with me and Willow asleep.

"Yes?" She answers

"Where are the kids?" I ask because I haven't seen them in 3 days

"There at school. Why?" Katniss replies

"Well I haven't seen them in a few days and I really miss them." I say

"I ask them all the time whether they are coming to see you after I pick them up from school but Prim and Finn always look down and say no." Katniss sighs

"Oh....Maybe they dont want to see me" I say glumly

"No, No Im sure they do. They do love you Peeta" She says

"Then why dont they want to come here?" I ask

"I dont know, I'll talk to them tonight" She assures

"Okay" I say

About 5 minutes of Idle chit-chat between us, and my doctor comes in, Dr Carey. She looks at me, Ktniss and Willow and says "Awwww"

Katniss immediately blushes and buries her head in my shoulder. I chuckle

"Peeta, how are you feeling today? Do you still have headaches or pain when moving?" Dr Carey asks

"Im okay, the headaches have nearly disappeared. Theres the odd time when It just comes and yes, I feel pain when moving. A lot" I say

"Okay, do you still feel sick?" She asks

"No" I say

"Okay, can you open your mouth please, I need check if the inflammation has gone down"Dr Carey orders and gets out a small torch.

I nod, open wide and Carey comes over to me being careful not to wake Willow and looks at my throat. This is the process I do not like at all. I just find it a bit weird that someone is shinning a torch down your throat.

After she is done she says "It seems your throat is back to normal, so I will detach your drip and I'll get you some proper food." Dr Carey says

"Thank you" I say

"If there is nothing else I will go get you a sandwich." She says and makes her way to the door

"Wait!" I say

"Yes?" Dr Carey says

"Um I was wondering when I can get back on my feet and start walking again" I ask because I have been bed bound because of my leg.
