Chapter 11

I was practically running to work because after my alarm went off, I spent about thirty minutes staring at the ceiling thinking about what I'll do when I see Tyler. Maybe slamming the door on his face yesterday wasn't such a good idea. Urgh. I hate it when I'm mad. When I'm mad, I tend to do stupid things that I would regret after.

When I got to the coffee shop, he was already sitting in his usual spot. He stood up when he saw me come in. I didn't give him the chance to talk to me because I said "I'm late" then ran to the backroom to get ready for work.

I placed my bag in the shelf and breathed in heavily. I can no longer escape him when I get out there, might as well just act cool and normal.

I got out of the backroom just as Steve placed the open sign. Dina was working the cashier and Steve was making the drinks. They seem to have noticed that something was up because they were quiet and looked between Tyler and me. Since there were no tables to clean yet, I decided to restock the tissues and straws.

As I was putting in the straws, Tyler came up beside me "I know you're pissed"

"I'm not" I said it because even though it was true, I had no right to be pissed.

"Then why did you slam the door on my face yesterday" He blocked my way when I was about to go pick up a fallen straw rapper. I noticed Steve stop writing on a cup and glanced at us.

"Well sorry. I was having a bad day" I said calmly before sidestepping him to continue with my job which he is making it hard for me to do.

"Because of me?"

"Not everything is about you" Hopefully he'll just let it all go and leave me in peace. I grabbed a rag to wipe a spilled coffee from the counter.

"You're impossible" I heard him say. Before I could react he grabbed the rag from my hand and tossed it to Dina then he turned to Steve "She's taking the day off"

"No, I'm not" I yelled as I tried to pull away from him but he was just too strong. His grip was tight that I really had no escape but not to the point that it hurt me.

He dragged me to his car and seated me in the passenger seat "Tyler I have work to do" I told him when he got in the driver's seat. I feel bad for leaving Dina and Steve there when it's not even my day off.

He gave me a small smile "I told them you're taking a day off" he started the car and drove to who knows where.

"This is not how I plan to spend my day off" I said to him with a glare.

"You don't plan your day offs you usually just stay at home in bed or you go out with Joey" he stated.

I glared at him one last time before groaning and looking out the window "You know me so well" I muttered.

He tried starting the conversation a couple of times but I just ignored him. I kept quiet the whole drive. The fact that he dragged me from work just added to the things I'm pissed at him for.

Thirty minutes later, we arrived at a house, well mansion sort of.

"Where are we?" I asked him staring at the big cream colored house. It was a mix of a modern house and an old victorian house. It was beautiful to be honest.
