"I never knew there were so many different ways to say goodbye."

Chapter 13

"What do you plan to do?" I asked Joey, who was just laying on her bed. I slept in her room last night and just comforted her about her problem with Cole. I agree that they were a little fast about getting into a relationship but she should have just trusted Cole and shouldn't have let what that girl said get to her.

She sat up and sighed "I'll wait a few days so he can cool off then I'll talk to him and apologize"

"Good. Now, stop moping. I'm sure he'll forgive you" I said as I left her room to grab my bag "I'm leaving for work" I didn't wait for her reply and just left.

As I walked to work, I wondered if Joey could handle a few days not talking to Cole. It would probably drive her nuts. I also wondered how Cole was doing. He's the angry one so he's probably not as miserable as Joey. I know I had my doubts at first, but after seeing them together these past months, I clearly see that they're perfect for each other.

I reached the coffee shop just as I saw Tyler parking his car. He got out and smiled when he saw me.

"Good morning, sunshine" He greeted as he opened the coffee shop door for me.

I muttered thanks as I entered. "How's Cole?"

"He was angry last night, now he's just moping" Tyler answered. So they're both doing the same thing. They really are perfect for each other.

"Joey too" I sighed but then an idea came into my head "Do you think we should-"

"Nope" Tyler interrupted, shaking his head.

"But you didn't even let me finish"

He was still shaking his head "I'm guessing you're going to say that we should meddle. Well, I'm not a meddler..." he stopped and thought about it before continuing "... well it depends on the situation. But I do know that Joey and Cole can fix things without us having to interfere"

"Fine" I pouted.

He chuckled then squeezed my cheeks "Stop that, you're adorable"

I blushed so I turned around so he won't see.

I made my way to the back to leave my things, and I got out just as Dina placed the open sign.

I worked the register, and business was good as usual.

Tyler was in his table, talking on the phone. Now I know that when he's in here and on his phone, he's usually talking to people who are helping with his search for his brother. I really hope they find him soon.

A few hours later, Dina and I switched. She worked the register and I cleaned tables. Steve was in charge of the drinks.

When I was finished cleaning the table beside Tyler's, I stopped beside him just as he got off the phone. He seemed frustrated but smiled when he saw me "Any luck?" I asked.

"There is one in Miami that said he saw someone that fit Aiden's description, but they would still have to look into it"

I squeezed his shoulder for comfort even though he looked like he didn't need comfort but deep inside I knew he did.

I was about to walk away and find something to clean when all of a sudden Tyler grabbed my wrist. I was about to ask him what he wanted but he wasn't even looking at me. I followed his gaze and saw Andrew standing by the door, looking at us.
