Chapter 12
The day of our Disney land trip came. Steve and Dina didn't mind that I was taking another day off that week, but I would still make it up by not taking a day off in a while.
I woke up pretty early so I took my time getting ready. But as I was having breakfast, I realized Joey should have also been up. She rarely sleeps in.
I finished my breakfast and placed the bowl on the sink, then went to Joey's room. Maybe she had a hard time sleeping last night because of the excitement.
I knocked "Come in" I heard right away meaning she wasn't sleeping.
I opened the door and found her in bed just staring at the wall. I already knew something was up.
"Hey. What's wrong?" I asked, sitting beside her on the bed.
"Cole's ex-girlfriend talked to me yesterday" she answered in a monotone. She didn't even bother looking at me and just stared blankly at the wall.
"What did she say?"
She then looked at me with a troubled expression "She said Cole cheated on her, and that he would probably cheat on me too" I was about to say something but then she continued "Maybe we were going too fast. I probably don't know him that well. What do you think, Sky?"
"At first, I did think that you guys were going too fast. But- but" I said it twice and with emphasis because she was about to lose it "But you guys are okay and amazing together now and what that girl said shouldn't even matter. She is an ex for a reason."
"I guess you're right" she sighed.
"I am right. Now get up and get ready because the guys will be here soon" I stood up from the bed and offered her my hand which she took and I pulled her up.
"We're going to..." I said, trying to lighten up the mood.
"Disney land" she tried to be enthusiastic about it but I knew it still bothered her. Hopefully, she'll forget about it later.
I looked at myself at the mirror. I was wearing a red tank top that had mickey's face on it, jean shorts, white sneakers, and a fedora to top it off, perfect for the long day of walking around.

A knock was heard from the door. I knew Joey was still getting ready cause I just heard her dryer turn off a couple of minutes ago. "I got it" I yelled.
I opened the door to Tyler and Cole "Don't you look cute" Cole complimented. From how he is acting, he probably still doesn't know that Joey is upset.
