'Well Shite'

Is all I could think as the room went quiet. It was like he was looking right through me. Right through to my discolored soul.

I tried to catch a breath that's already gone from being thrown back by his magic. Papyrus seemed to panic trying to get to the Skeleton through the crowd that's formed around us.

With what strength I had left I raised my hand and my magic turned on, breaking his magical hold on me. He along with the rest of the room stay quite. I drop to the ground, landing on my feet only to double over in exhaustion.

Papyrus made his way through the crowd and over to me. He kneeled down in front of me.

"HUMAN, JAMIE, ARE YOU ALRIGHT!?" Papyrus asked panicked.

I winced as he helped me stand.

"Papyrus what are you doing!? Back away from the human!" The other Skeleton yelled to him.

Papyrus helped me balance against the wall before standing in front of me.

"NO SANS I WILL NOT, THIS HUMAN HELPED US RIGHT UNDYNE?!" Papyrus said holding his ground while my head was pounding from hitting the wall.

'Ow, so his name is Sans hu?'

Undyne stepped up with Papyrus.

"She did Sans. Paps and I would be dead if not for her."

"Plus she's not even human" Undyne said walking back to me and carefully pulling my hood back to show my ears.

Sans seemed to lighten up as some of the crowd left. I passed out, collapsing to the ground in pain and exhaustion.

I opened my eyes only to close them at a bright light pointed in my face. The place seemed silent as I made my eyes adjust to the light. Taking a look around, the place was empty. Not a soul in the room...Apart from mine.

I chuckle to myself as the door to the room opens.

"Ah you're awake I-I'm A-Alphys" The small dinosaur said.

Carefully, I sat up trying not to start a headache.

"Jamie" I said holding my hand out.

She hesitantly took it in hers and shook. A smile played on my face as she shyly let go and smiled back.

She then walked away and over to some computers to look something over. I got a proper look over the room.

It was like a hospital room. I looked over to my left and Frisk lied there asleep.

The door opened again and this time Sans, I believe, walked in with Undyne. I got a better look at him.

He, as I said, was about as tall as Papyrus. Two cracks ran on his skull. One on his right was running from the top of his head to his eye that was broken in two just before they came to one at the eye. The other one was on his left and ran from his mouth to his left eye. The right eye was all black while the left one actually had a eye like thing in the darkness of his eye socket.

He wore a leather jacket that was unzipped, showing a bit of his ribcage. He wore a pair of black pants that showed the start of his pelvic bone. His feet were covered by a pair of black combat boots.

His attention was on Frisk rather than me, you know the girl he nearly killed. Like what the hell?

Alphys walked over handing me a glass of water.

"Thank you Alphys" I say taking a sip of the cup.

She nods and walks back to the computers.

Just as I set the glass on the table next to the bed the door opens again.

Papyrus comes through.

He seems pretty happy, given what happened today.

Yesterday?

Whatever day it is.

How long was I out?

Papyrus went over to Frisk. Not a moment later was Frisk giggling at something he was doing.

Sighing I got out of the bed and walked to where my stuff sat.

My bag with all my stuff sat by the door.

Undyne took notice in me being up and came over.

"Hey, Jamie, how are ya feeling?" She asked.

Sans seemed to actually pay attention to me being up.

"Good now if you don't mind I would like to get out of this room."

She nods and we leave the room.

"So how long was I out?" I ask as we passed different rooms.

"Two days." She said coming to a stop and one door.

The door was painted a normal white, like the rest.

"You can stay here for now." She spoke, opening the door,

The room looked rather homey. The walls were a beautiful light brown color, the floor was covered in a dark brown carpet.

A bed sat in the corner of the room, the sheets were a light purple color, so close to my eye color. It's all lit up by a light that sat on a side table.

Undyne flipped a switch and the room brightened as the ceiling light was turned on.

"It's amazing," I say walking in.

Never once have I had a proper room since the humans started hunting monsters. The last room I had was the hotel and even then I hadn't been in a proper room in about two weeks.

Setting my stuff by the door, I fall back on the bed. My gaze goes to the ceiling.

My eyes follow every line on the ceiling, every little crack, every change in shade of the paint.

Every little crack reminded me of Sans, the skeleton. With that thought and my eyes tracing the ceiling my eyes slowly close and i fall a victim to sleep.
