Chapter Thirty- What they think

'I thought of something today. What if everything the Humans do is because their jealousy. Jealous of the power that Monsters hold.

If you think about it Humans are greedy. They want the power that we hold to themselves. I've been thinking about the whole ordeal.

What if they only drove the Monsters away because they were scared of what they could do. Humans always have fear in what they don't understand.

They fear the Monsters simply because they don't understand them. They don't understand that they feel the same way Humans do. They don't understand that they can act more Humane then Humans themselves can.

Humans consider themselves unique so they've rooted there whole theory of existence on their uniqueness. But they're not as unique as they think they are.

They are all the same. They come to these stupid fights with each other. They fight with each other simply because they didn't see the others as 'the same'. They saw them as being different from them.

I've come to see that Humans are more concerned with having than with being. They want to poses all these things: Power, wealth, just about anything to stay on top. Yet they refuse to focus on themselves, on their own kind that's dying.

Their own kind is starving and a large number of them don't care and rather stride for power.

The problem is not the problem. The problem is your attitude about the problem. Does that make sense? Probably not.

The problem with the world is not the problem but the way people react to the worlds problem. Just like the Monsters weren't a problem, it was just the way the Humans reacted that made it a problem.

If the Humans had acted better or had been kind to the Monsters than none of this would have happened. The Monsters wouldn't have felt threatened and wouldn't have fought back.

Both kinds act in fear, it's in their blood, in their DNA. Come to think about it it's always been fighting about of fear and based off of DNA and their genes. Humans fought Humans who looked different and sounded different from them.'

I sigh, opening my eyes to see, for once, G gone. Getting off the bed I walk out and towards the cafeteria, that was full of voices.

Undyne and Papyrus's voices over came the rest. Laughter filled the halls soon after. The group sat at a large table, Caleb included at the end, next to Kat.

Her gaze went to the door as her smile grew seeing me walk in and over to them. Everyone smiled, except Flowey, but that was normal.

G moved over and patted the seat next to him. I rolled my eyes and sat next to him and Papyrus.

"Well good afternoon Dove." G said, passing me a plate of spaghetti.

I'd been through enough Timelines and seen enough different versions of Papyrus to be able to keep his spaghetti down. In one Timeline it was actually good.

I turned the fork in the noodley pasta before placing it in my mouth and taking it off the fork. The taste was bitter and spicy at the same time. Then again I've had worse of his cooking.

They stopped talking and stared in confusion as to how I was eating his food. G was trying to hold back his laughter, seeing that he knew how I could keep it down.

"HOW'S THE SPAGHETTI? GOOD RIGHT? OF COURSE IT IS! IT IS MADE MY ME, THE GREAT PAPYRUS, SO IT MUST BE GREAT!" Papyrus said, his normal grin growing wider.

I smiled at his enthusiasm and nod, taking another bite. I looked from Papyrus to G, who had an amused look on his face.

I smiled, wrapping my tail around his pelvis while my ears twitched as the chatter picked up in the room. A faint yellow tint appeared on his cheek bones.

Across from us Kat smiled and began to eat. Caleb gave a confused look, a bit of disapproval in his eyes.

G still doesn't like the idea of having him here with us. He's worried it's a trap and it'll all come crashing down around us.

Caleb's getting better though. He's not like his old self. He's still not all there, but a lot of him is there. The kind part that is. He's different. I guess even the worst people can change.

Smiling I slowly inch over so I'm right next to him, laying my head on his shoulder. He freezes up, yellow blush covering his face, making him look down in embarrassment.

Some of the people at the table laugh at G's reaction, others awe, Kat just laughs and continues eating.

"Pay back." I whisper to him.
