Alarms began to break the silence and fill the halls as we ran down them. Yeah we ran down the halls. Or more they ran, I stumbled at G's side.
'It was time to leave. Time to be free once more. But how long would that last? How long would it be before they find us again?
How long will our freedom last? Even if we get our freedom is there a safe haven to stay?
They'll find us somehow, and the memories, the sins. They'll find us too. They always do somehow.
Yet they could lose us. Lighting never strikes the same spot twice, right?
I'd be lying if I said I wasn't scared. I'm terrified. Not for myself but my family.
For everyone I care about. If one person messes up we could all be in trouble. We don't have time for mess ups.
There's no time to lose someone. Not this time.
I'll fight for however longer I've got for them.'
"Shit" G muttered, making me snap out of my thoughts.
We had come to a stop and moved into a room. We all fell silent as we looked around the room. The sound of people running echoed in the room.
I stayed still, leaning into G, trying to stay awake. G takes my hand in his, giving it a little squeeze before looking over to Undyne. Papyrus looked over joyed to see G and me.
Frisk stood next to Asriel, holding Flowey tightly in her arms.
We were missing Asgore, Toriel, Mettaton, Alphys, and Caleb and Kat. We get them and we're golden. But I have a feeling that this'll be way harder than it actually is.
"I know where they are. I can go get them then come back." Undyne said, eager to leave this place.
G looked at her unsure before looking down at me. He looks back to Undyne and gives her a nod.
She nods to him before leaving. Papyrus stood by the door. Frisk, Asriel, and Flowey sat against the wall opposite of us.
I leaned back, laying my head on his shoulder. He wraps his arm around my waist and pulls me onto his lap.
I turned in his grip, straddling his hips, my head still on his shoulder. "G...I saw her..."
He pulls back a bit and looked at me. He gets a good look at the traces of blood and small bruises that covered my skin.
Different cuts I've made while I was seeing Them covered my skin. Some were just scratches and others had bled.
"Who was it Dove?" He asked, tilting his head a bit.
I could feel myself tear up as I buried my head back in his jacket. I shake my head, taking a deep breath of his scent.
He seems to get the message and pulls me closer to him. He rubs circles on my back, trying to sooth me. And soon enough my eyes closed and Darkness took over.
I think this is the first time that I've been alone in the darkness of the void. No Gaster calling for me from the darkness. No hallways leading to a nightmare. No childish laughter.
A girl stood in the darkness. Curly brown hair went down to about the center of her back. Her back was to me. She wore a light blue jacket, a pair of gray pants, and a pair of black boots.
She turns and looks to me. Or rather passed me. She had turquoise blue eyes.
I turn to see no one. And when I turn back no one's there. I blink a few times before walking on a bit.
Voices, almost whispers echo through the darkness.
"Hello?" I call out, not expecting an answer.
The voices stop.
My eyes dart around the darkness. "Gaster?" I call out.
If this is his way of playing a joke he should leave jokes to Sans. Unless something happened to him.
Fear began to hit me. I was alone. Alone in the void. Alone in the darkness. In the deadly silence that came with the void.
In the distance of the blackness of this world was the soft sound of music. What even is the void? It's not a world that's for sure.
It's a real place though. Yet not real at the same time. Time. It's the rift. The rift between time and space. Like how theirs a rift between life and death, where your memorize and future are played before you. Where your life is played before you.
The void is the emptiness that is space and time. That's how he manipulates what appears here.
I walked forward, following the music. One voice could be heard, singing.
"No time for goodbye, he said
As he faded away
Don't put your life in someone's hands
They're bound to steal it away
Don't hide your mistakes
'Cause they'll find you, burn you
Then he saidIf you want to get out alive
Run for your life"
It was what sounded like Gaster. But at the same time it didn't. It was a hushed voice. Like a memory. Like I've heard it before.A memory of another Timeline. Another Universe at that.
We all lived in the Underground. Back when Gaster wasn't blown across Time and Space. We were all young. Papyrus was actually smaller then most of us.
Gaster stood, pacing around the living room. I sat with Sans, trying to get Papyrus to say something other than "SPAGHETTI!" as he says it.
Then again we'd been working on it for weeks. We even had Undyne try and he admires Undyne. No dice.
Then I had an idea. A crazy idea. Then again they always went with my of my ideas. We were going to go on an adventure that would get Papyrus to talk, because it would be so great.
And that was the adventure that dubbed him "The Great Papyrus" as he says.
The memory faded and I was in the darkness once more. The voices were silent and the light was gone.
Now it's memories and silence.'
