Chapter Forty Nine- Field of Memories

'I can sense it. Somethings coming. Today we fight. Today we go to war.'

"I can't believe I'm saying this." I mumble, keeling down before the flower. "Keep them safe okay? And if I come back and they're gone. So help me I'll do more then have the fire slap you."

He nodded. He knew there were two meanings behind that. If I do make it through this. If I die then I wont be able to know if he did his job. But if I do make it and come back then...I don't know.

I stand up and give Frisk a hug, then Asriel. The rest of the group stood, We'd been able to get the message out to other Monsters and given coordinates. Thanks Alphys.

A sigh leaves me as I walk out of the building. I take my spot next to G and look to the group.

G looked down to me. "You okay?" He asked, as I take in a deep breath.

"Yeah......No....I don't know anymore." I say, looking to all the Monsters who had joined us. All different kinds of Monsters of different kinds. Something popped in my head and I let out a laugh.

G looked at me confused. "What is it?"

"I just remembered my first day at the base. When you almost killed me. That was the moment I knew you didn't remember me. So I played on like I didn't know anything." I say, smiling.

A smile came on his face. He let out a chuckle.

"You know what's gonna happen if this doesn't work out right? What if you die? What if she kills you? What if she-" I was cut off by G pulling me into a hug. 

"Don't go on thinking like that Dove. Nothing's gonna happen to you. Got it?" He asked, pulling back and holding my arms.

I nod and look to Asgore. He gives me a nod and I nod back. "Time to go. I guess." I mumble, taking G's hand and walking through the woods, the group following behind.

It was about noon and voices of us and them echoed through the woods. Soon it all opened up to the field that I know very well.

I stood in the front, G to my right and Echo to my left. Then she walked up. 

A devilish smile was on her face. Her deep red eyes locking on us as I walked ahead to meet her in the middle of the field. 

She wore a green and yellow sweater, brown shorts and matching brown boots. There was a look in her eyes that could scare anyone.

"You know. I don't care if you reset after I kill you. I'll get to enjoy killing you every chance I get." She said, smiling.

I looked at her, my face blank of emotion. "I know. But you know. You're not gonna win. I'm not gonna let you." I say, a small smile coming on my face as I feel the presence of Ink and Error.

"That's to bad." She said, pulling out a knife. "Because I was looking forward to seeing you die this time." And with that she took a slash at my face...
