We sat there, on the floor of this room, Frisk sitting on my lap and her hands gripping my jacket. Her head was buried in my stomach while I rubbed circles on her back.
The room fell silent, only to be broken by the door opening. A man walked in. He had long black hair, a black t-shirt, a pair of khaki pants, and a pair of black combat boots.
"So you're the Hybrid everyone's been talking about. Sorry to break your little chick flick moment, but we've got some things to do." He spoke, walking over.
I stood up, pushing Frisk behind me. She shook with fear, gripping onto my jacket.
"It's interesting that after everything you still live with having this human with you. You know it truly is amazing that after the amount of Monsters the Humans have killed you'd give your life for one of them."
He stopped a little bit in front of us and smiled. A devilish smile not many people can pull off on their own. The thing I feared the most stood right in front of me.
In the back of his blank, emotionless, ice blue eyes was a pinch of red. He was trying to get me to snap. She was trying to get me to snap.
"You think you're so clever kiddo don't you?" I ask, smirking as his face dropped.
He closed his eyes and when he opened them they were fully red. The devilish smile cam on his face. A small laugh left him as he took a step forward.
"Hey! Back up!" I yell, backing me and Frisk up a bit.
In one motion, I was thrown a side, crashing into the wall and falling on my right arm on the ground. I hissed in pain and looked over to see Chara moving towards Frisk.
'Every hero has to make a serious choice; die in battle to perpetuate your name or run from danger just to live another day.
Real heroes never fear the pain or death, every soldier fight until their final breath. Dedicating all their lives to just one cause.'
Undyne's words echoed in my head. I've heard her say them more than once in training.
I got up and tackled Chara to the ground. Frisk stood in the far corner as the two of us rolled around.
The body she was using was bigger than me and was able to pin me to the ground under him.
She presses her hand hard on my shoulder. She seemed pleased to see me hiss and yell in pain.
The words the Undyne said were drained out and replaced by her voice and screaming. The all too familiar yells and screams of the battle field.
My eyes screw shut as she gets off me, smirking. My left hand grips my head as I grit my teeth.
Images flashed before my eyes. The blood, the dust of those who had fallen.
All my friends dying before my eyes. They scream out, sins run wild with every image.
"Get out of my head." I mutter through gritted teeth.
I shake my head back and forth before opening my eyes. Their yells echo through my mind but quieter.
My hand goes right to the collar, fiddling with the small box on it, to get the chip out. With a small click it opened the the chip fell out.
Small cuts laid on my fingers from the box and the chip. Slowly, I stood up and looked to Chara, who had Frisk cornered.
She turned and looked to me, I flinched as the screaming picked up. She smirked and walked forward, but stopped once he saw the blood dripping on the floor.
"You know it's interesting that you chose to have loved and lost, knowing well that they never get to see each other again. Can you hear their memorize calling from with in?"
We circled each other, eyes locked.
"Was it really worth the cost? Was it you who deserved to be the one alive in the end?" I ask, knowing why she's here.
She wants to see us all suffer to the point of death then do it all over again. She wants us to feel what she's felt. But does it really matter to her?
"Tell me something. Can you feel the darkness crawling with your sins?" I ask her as she lunges at me.
I dodge her, but don't strike back. Instead I use my magic and hold her in one spot. The sound of pounding footsteps fill the halls as she struggles to get out of my grip.
The door swings open and the sound of a gun shot echos through the room. I go stiff, my magic turning off.
Chara drops to the ground. My breath hitches as I drop to the ground. My vision blurred as my eyes got heavier.
Fear ran through me as the room fell silent and the darkness took over.
