And then he came.

In a small but impressive flash of light your Nighmare appeared. He looked even more magnificent with colour surrounding him. He flexed his fingers, and the tree next to him, a tall spruce that was obviously ancient, was struck by a blue lightning bolt. It fell, toward you, and you gasped. But it stopped, an inch from the top of your head, and was flung away, whereupon it collided with the cliffside with a mighty crash. Your Nightmare floated down, silent. "Hello, Nightmare." You said soflty. You walked forward, your hand outstreched, and touched him. His surface was smooth, but slightly elecrotcuting, like a live toaster. It was also freezing cold. He caught your hand with his own. "Hello (y/n), I've been waiting for ages."

He lifted you and himself up into the air, hovering above Gravity Falls. You saw strange and wonderful things down below, but there was nowhere you'd rather be but here. The small voice in the back of your head remained silent, you doubted you would ever hear it again. Your Nightmare spoke, and the whole of the world seemed to fall silent. "I've got something to show you, (y/n), I think you'll like it. He let go of you, and you floated effortlessly in the air next to him. Your Nightmare held out a small black hand and beckoned into thin air. Immediately, a middle aged man broke through the front window of Greasy's Diner and zoomed at an impossible speed toward you. He looked between you and your Nightmare, obviously horrified and confused. "What is this, is this a dream?!" He said in a high voice. Your Nightmare ignored him. He put out his hand and flicked his wrist in the man's direction. Your heard a CRACK somewhere, and the man fell limp like a rag doll.

Your Nightmare's one eye narrowed, and the dead man began to change. His dark hair spiked into unruly gold bangs shadowing his dead eyes. His clothed softened and lengthened into a yellow and black suit. Your Nightmare held out his hand, four black leaves and a stick soared into his palm. He took the stick and made it into a cane. Then out of the leaves he made a top hat, eye patch, and two black dress shoes. These he gave the dead man to wear. With a horrific sound, he tore his bow tie from himself and put it under the dead mans chin. He stood back for a moment and surveyed the result. He shook his 'head' slightly and took off the eyepatch. He pulled out the mans eyes and replaced one with his own, covering the other with the eye patch. A seemingly blind Nightmare held out his hand, and the dead man, like a puppet on a string, shook hands with your Nightmare, unconcered about the fire in which he was putting his digits.

You blinked, and for a moment you experienced true panic. Your Nightmare was gone. Suddenly, the dead man gave a huge jerk. He opened his eye, and smiled at you with a gleaming row of white, perfect teeth. "What do you think?" He said. You stared wonderingly at your Nightmare, now a human. "It's beautiful". You held your hand flat out in front of you, and he took it. His hand was still cold, but it was a real, five fingered, gloved hand. He put your hand on his cheek and sighed, leaning in to your palm. You remembered the second night you had spent with your Nightmare, you had asked him if it would work, if you tried to hug him. Well, now was your chance. You pulled yourself closer with the hand he was holding and wrapped your arms around his waist. He hugged you back. "(Y/n), (y/n), (y/n). I love you, and I'll never leave. Never ever." He whispered in your ear. You and he drifted in the air like that for a minute or so, or perhaps it was an hour, or possibly several sunlit days, but you eventually broke apart.

You and he floated back to solid ground, and you stumbled a little. You and your Nightmare walked through Gravity Falls, side-stepping the occasional abandoned Jack-o-melon. After a while you noticed what appered to be a giant, dark, glowing pyramid that seemed to emit darkness in the way a torch emits light. You puzzled over this for a moment, before you saw the way your Nightmare's pupil was dialated, and that he was twitching his fingers, and realised that he was building it. Well, I suppose we need some king of home point, a place to stay... said a motherly voice inside your head. You wondered if your Nightmare was looking for something. It seemed impossible that it had been less than an hour ago you had been at the bar asking for directions to the Mystery Shack. Speaking of which, you had realised your destination.

The shack appered undamaged despite the reinging chaos. You supposed this was due to the magical protection that Sixer and Pinetree put up. Your Nightmare looked at you sideways and spoke; "(Y/n)? I need something from inside the Shack, but I can't do it myself, seeing as I can't enter. It's a sheet of paper, and on it is the secret to getting Weirdmaggendon #2 out of Gravity Falls. I wouldn't ask you to leave my side, but it-" He stopped. You had pulled out the sheet of paper you found on the floor of the basement.

He looked at it, stunned, and then picked you up in his arms and threw you up into the air. "Thank you my love, this fixes everything. You wonderful being!" He swings you around in circles, and you laugh delightely. He kisses you on both cheeks, and inspects the paper with his face streched into an insane chesire cat smile. He reads the equation with his tongue between his teeth. After a moment he holds out his hand and clicks his fingers. Yet again the whole of the town went silent, and the sound of your Nightmare clicking his fingers echoed around the, well, everything. A globe, like glass breathed onto, appeared around Gravity Falls. It flickered and died. The entire world seemed to let out a breath, and the chaos that had destroyed Gravity Falls in a matter of minuted spread slowly but surely away, around the world, toward the horizon.

Hope you like this one, it took about an hour to write. Plz remember to vote and comment your opinion, and I will see you very soon with the next chapter! Love ya!
