"You're moving back to Australia?" I whispered taking a few steps back.
"Yeah." Mrs. Hemmings nodded looking at the ground.
"Oh." I said before a lump rose in my throat. "When?"
"Next week." She said answering me but, looking at Luke.
"Next week. Why can't we stay longer?" Luke asked turning crimson from the anger.
"We already talked about this Luke. You know why." Mrs. Hemmings stated as she stood and ran out of the room.
"Don't leave me Luke." I said as tears rolled down my face.
"I have no choice Julie." He sighed and he wiped the tears from my cheeks.
"I know, but I don't want you to go." I hiccuped. "I need you. You're my best friend."
"And your boyfriend." He smiled. "We might not be near but we could Skype, call, and text everyday."
"Luke, it won't be the same and plus, we both know that it isn't going to work out." I sighed. "I don't want to put you down like that but let's be realistic."
"I know, but I'm doing everything I can, to keep this relationship from falling apart." Luke sat up. "That's how much I like you, Julie. You're worth saving."
"Luke. I don't know what to say." I said honesty. He can be so mature, with just his words. I know I was overreacting with a boy who hadn't been my boyfriend for a day. Not to mention I was only fourteen but-
"You don't have to. Lets just enjoy the time we have left." He smiled and leaned in. I hesitated a bit before kissing him, but might as well enjoy this kiss.
"Luke, -oh my god!" Jack yelled in surprise. Luke and I jumped apart.
"I'm so sorry." He apologized covering his eyes. "I'll just go." He sighed, turned around, and walked straight into the wall. Me and Luke bursted out laughing but Luke stopped abruptly because of the pain from his wound.
"Are you okay?" I asked Luke.
"Yeah, I'm fine." Luke and Jack said at the same time. Jack must have thought that I asked him. Awkward.
"Oh." Jack said in realization.
"Yeah, sorry." I apologized to Jack. "I hope you're okay though."

"Alright, well Luke is okay to go home." The doctor smiled. "If there's any severe pain come back."
"Thank you doctor." Mrs. Hemmings smiled as she grabbed her purse from the table.
"Enjoy the rest of your day." He smiled as he left the room. "Oh and don't forget to sign out in the lobby."
"Well you heard the man. Lets go!" Luke smiled as he got off the bed wincing slightly.
"First of all, you need to calm down and second of all, you aren't leaving the hospital like that." Jack gestured to Luke's blue hospital gown.
"Oh, right." He laughed clearly embarrassed. "After I change then we'll leave."
Minutes later we were all in the car and on our way home. Chatter filled the small crowded car. Everyone, was talking away in their own conversation, except for me of course. I was just sitting in the window seat looking out onto the streets.
"You okay?" Luke asked as he held my hand and I simply nodded before looking back out onto the street. He sighed and then continued listening to his sister ramble about which My Little Pony was better.
