Final Chapter

"Julie?" I heard someone stumble into the room. "No!"

Pain. Pain shot through me like a lightning bolt. My hands shot up to help with the pain but it wouldn't stop it. I lifted my hands up to my face so I could see myself and was terrified to see my hands were covered with blood. In seconds, all of my energy drained making me instantly hitting the floor, my eyes were closed, trying to focus on anything but the pain. Everything began moving so slowly. How did this happen so quickly? I was only trying to keep anyone from getting hurt.

"Julie!" I heard the voice once again, it was Luke. "Please open your eyes baby."

I opened my eyes, instantly meeting his gorgeous blue ones that I loved. I almost forgot how handsome he was. How could've I forgotten his beautiful face? He quickly took my hand in his and kissed it, concern took over his features.

"Hey." I smiled slightly, breathing heavily. Tears brimming my eyes. Now I knew that Luke would never really hurt me. That he was the only person in the world who would love and care for me thus much. But who would've known that I'd realize it too late.

For Luke, he felt as if the universe had completely taken an unexpected turn, where loved ones got hurt. His world was completely falling apart and there was nothing he could do about It. He could feel every beat of his heart in his ears. To him, everything had lost it's color and Julie was the only one who could retrieve them.

"I'm so sorry." He apologized, shaking his head, looking me over. "This is all my fault; everything is my fault."

"No." I interjected. "It wasn't your fault. It wasn't anyone's fault but mine. Emily told me everything and I didn't believe my own boyfriend. I hope you can forgive me. This was coming and don't you dare blame yourself for whatever happens today. Do you hear me?"

He nodded, I winced and gasped as the pain grew more and more. This feeling was horrible and I cried silently as it took over. All the blood from Luke's face, drained once he looked down at my side were it was hurting.

"What?" I asked, afraid to look at myself. The more I spoke, the more it hurt and the harder it became to breathe.

"Baby, I have to call the ambulance." He stood up, letting go of my hand. "You're bleeding out.

"No, come back." I pleaded no longer feeling the warmth of his skin. He shook his head and called the hospital. I looked up at the ceiling and tried focusing on my breathing. I could hear him explain what was happening. The walls seemed to close in on me with every beat of my heart. All the heat from the room seemed to disappear, leaving me in the cold.

As Luke tried to find help, he found himself in a dark cold place; the love of his life was running out of time. He knew that only he could save her. The temperature of the room had dropped dramatically and the only source of light was his phone screen.

I closed my eyes again, suddenly feeling tired. Different memories that happened with Luke flashed simultaneously behind my eyelids.

"Hi, I'm Luke Hemmings."

"Hey, I'm Julie..."

"Hey Julie!" Luke called after me, I stopped and turned around.

"Yeah Luke?" I asked him.

"Thanks." He smiled.

"No problem." And smiling, I continued up my driveway.
