The sound of battle filled the air as Beetail gave a battle cry. "AshClan and Tribe cats! Attack!" She yowled as cats blasted past her and ran into battle. A lumbering badger growled at them, it's beady black eyes stared back at them. Rookpaw and Rabbit both attacked it from the back.
Heronfeather hissed at it and clawed it across the face.
Olivepaw and Blossomclaw attacked it. The badger growled shaking them off. Beetail gave it a killing bite. The badger fell over limp in blood.
The tribal cats yowled in victory. Cedarpaw smiled standing next to Rabbit. He shuffled his paws. "Rabbit I need to talk to you." The tom meowed. "Okay." She meowed.
Cedarpaw padded back to the cave. Rabbit followed after him.
The AshClan apprentice sat down, Rabbit in front of him. Midnight's scent wrapped around Cedarpaw. "Do you want to come back with me?" He asked. "C-can my mother come?" Rabbit asked him. Her eyes were round.
"If she feels comfortable. But... I really want...you to come back." He meowed. "Cedarpaw.." She purred.
Cedarpaw flicked his ears. "Uh.. Coming Olivepaw!" He scrambled away tripping once or twice.
Olivepaw blinked. "What? I didn't,"
"Shhhhhhh!" He nudged her. She snapped her jaws shut.
"Just keep walking until we are far enough away...." He whispered. Olivepaw blinked and walked. Cedarpaw seemed flustered.
"What's wrong?" She asked.
"I'll tell you when Rabbit and her mother are out of ear shot." He replied. Olivepaw gasped. "You like Rabbit!" She meowed in a low whisper.
"Shhhhh. Sh Sh Sh Sh!!" The blind apprentice fidgeting frantically. She purred in amusement.
"Shut up." Cedarpaw meowed through clenched teeth.
"Sorry sorry." The tortoiseshell apprentice meowed, rolling her eyes. Cedarpaw's tail twitched. "If you say anything,"
"I won't mouse-brain." Olivepaw meowed assuringly.
Rookpaw blinked and rolled her eyes. "You really like her don't you?" She meowed.
"A lot." Cedarpaw replied with a sigh. He couldn't shake the fact that her father had told her that she was coming with them. He would jump out his pelt;his heart beating inside his ears.
