The both of them sat down. "Huck you are leader yes?" Onestar asked.
"I guess you could call it that. I led these cats to the woods. I would die for all of my friends... My kin.." Huck replied.
"So that's a yes." Whitestar observed. There was something about this cat;about his gaze and how he had led his companions out of a fire to here that somehow amazed her along with Onestar as well.
Huck nodded his head.
"So where do you come from?" She asked.
"A run down Twoleg den that some Twoelgs wandered by. They gave some of us food and water in things, but most of us lived for catching our own food like mice in the shadows or birds on perches." Huck replied.
"Ah." Whitestar mewed.
Huck looked at the two leaders. "What is life here like?" He blurted out suddenly.
Whitestar blinked her dark green eyes. "Come again?" It was Onestar who spoke first.
Whitestar shook his head and listened again.
"What is life of a Clan like?" Huck repeated.
"It isn't easy.. Clans have many of an enemy... There are times we compete for what we have.. Our prey, strength, even our very lives." Onestar meowed after a bit of silence.
"Huck let me be honest here." Whitestar meowed.
He pricked his ears to listen to her. "You already have a small clan," She began.
But Huck broke in and meowed:"I know this.. I also know I can't exactly be a Clan as great as yours.. But that doesn't mean I don't carry a bit of wild cat in me.." Huck's eyes gleamed with determination.
"We will help you." Whitestar meowed. His eyes widened in reply.
"We will show you the life of a clan and help you find territory. Then you can start your own clan." She told him. He looked as of we would jump like a kit. "Your clan training begins in the morning. Go get some sleep." Whitestar meowed.
He nodded and bounded down, looking like he wouldn't even sleep.
Whitestar looked at Onestar, who gave him a really look. "What?" She asked. "Oh nothing at all." He meowed.
"You think I'm crazy." The white she-cat rumbled.
"I admit.. He seems confident and leader material.." Onestar meowed yawning.
Whitestar padded in a tight circle and hunkered down into her nest.

By the time it was dawn, Blackflight was leading a border patrol, Ottertail had taken out a hunting patrol, and Feralstorm was with Onestar and Huck who had his companions.
"Okay are you all ready?" He asked. "Yes." Huck replied.
Onestar gave a nod. "Okay. So let's start off with marking the borders."
"Yes borders. We have our own territory." Falconwing meowed. "Clans must have borders. For moons we've had to fight for what we have. Even to the death..." Onestar meowed.
"Sometimes I miss clawing at a pelt or two." Minnowwhisker commented.
The cats blinked at them.
"Right. Border marking. WolfClan cats claw at trees like this," Feralstorm began to demonstrate. "Now, who wants first go?"
Huck stepped forward. "I'll try." He meowed.
"If all you need to do is treat it like a scratching post, seems easy enough." Leopard meowed.
Deerpaw tipped her head to one side. "What's a scratching post?" She asked. "Something we used to play with." Leopard replied.
"Ah." Her mentor Lightspot meowed. "Yeah." Leopard meowed.
"Is this good Onestar?" Huck meowed. "Yes good job!" He replied.
He gave a nod of his head.
"What's next?" Ridge asked the clan leader.
"Hunting." Lizardstep replied.
"ViperClan hunts frogs and the occasional squirrel. WolfClan hunts rabbits and mice. It is to you and yours to decide what your clan eats so it does not starve." Onestar meowed.
Huck nodded listening.
His amber eyes clouded for a heartbeat but he blinked.
Huck took notice. "Is everything alright?" He asked.
"Yes. I just.. Thought back to a time in my life.. Not a problem now, on to hunting." Onestar meowed as he shook his fur.
Huck nodded.
Leopard saw a mouse at the foot of a tree nibbling on a seed. She stalked towards it, but stepped on a twig. It scuttled away as she gave an angered look.
"Don't worry. A mouse isn't the only prey in the forest you can catch." Darkshadow reassured.
