Yeri's Point of View

A few days later...

I got lunch that day at school since Wendy said she could not go out for lunch and that she had to get something done. And V insisted that he was going to eat at school because Wendy was not going, which left me with no choice 'cause I can not drive yet.

I looked for Wendy's brownish hair which she dyed recently. I spotted her at a table alone looking down at papers (probably her homework), one hand holding a pencil and the other holding her lunch: a tomato. Wendy has been very busy lately, now she can't even eat lunch in peace. She has IB classes and then training and soccer practice, I wonder how she deals with all of it. V and I had this talk with Wendy.

All 3 of us could flunk this school year since we are not taking college entrance exams. In fact V and I had the same idea, but Wendy said that she studies this much because it would help her on variety shows. I see no correlation.

I sat next to her and saw that she was not doing homework, but will be soon. Instead she was filling out a homecoming guest form. So she is going with Mark? I thought Wendy would not be going to homecoming since she was so busy and could rest some.

"Hey." Wendy said as V finally spotted us and was making his way towards us.

V sat down with his lunch, but before giving a glance at Wendy's paper. I figured Wendy already told V about Mark so I didn't ask V how it went with asking Wendy to homecoming, but by his reaction Wendy did not tell him, yet.

"You're taking someone to homecoming?" V stated for himself more than ask Wendy.

Wendy, who finally finished filling the form said, "Oh, I totally forgot to tell you. I am taking Mark, he's a childhood friend. You might have seen pictures of him already. Here I'll show you." Wendy took out her phone and searched a picture of Mark. By then, V left leaving his lunch, Wendy did not notice until she lifted her head.

"V left?." Wendy said with awkwardness.

I did not know how to respond. Wendy felt awkward. I felt awkward in this atmosphere. There was something going on between them or more like with just V. The more I thought the more I did not want to believe it. I lost appetite. I left Wendy and my lunch, wanting time alone. Out of my peripheral vision I saw Wendy's confused but not confused face. She gave a look that said "sorry". Why would she be sorry? Wendy did not call out to me. She understood.

I could not stop myself from feeling envy of Wendy.

I think I will write a MarWenV Christmas and new years chapter. But before that happens I am going to restore V memories and hope that V will be able to win back Wendy's heart.
