"Pandora's box? Yeah, of course I have." I answered.

"If you open that, it'll be ten times worse and we will probably all cease to exist. I assume that's why things have been getting out of control lately. Give it to me, Anji."

I handed her the box. "Are those all the answers I will be given today?" I asked.

"Yep."

Sighing, I went to get some food. I went to the counter, and the box was right there.

"... Mary?" I called.

"Yeah?"

"Why is the box in the kitchen?"

Mary and Sophia ran towards the kitchen, eyes wide. "It should not be in the kitchen." She answered, took the box, and walked off.

Later, I was doing my homework when it suddenly appeared on my desk. Similar events happened until I couldn't take it anymore. It appeared in between Elijah and I during the Hamilteam's movie night.

"Alright! That's it! I can't take it anymore! This stupid box keeps following me around! Why me?!"

Mary reached for the box, but I stopped her.

"No, no, no! If it wants to bother me, let it. I'll never open it, never!"

"Anji, calm down-" Mary tried to soothe me, but to no avail.

"No, no I will not calm down. It wants me! Maybe it's not that bad!"

"Anji, do not open it!" Sophia yelled.

"Why shouldn't I? It clearly means something, and I want answers!"

A flash of green and everything was frozen in place.

"Chloe, unfreeze her." Elijah ordered.

"Why should I? You saw that look in her eye. She's starting to lose it."

"Babe, maybe there is a better solution-"

"Harry, I had to do what was quick. It stopped her from killing us all. That box has taken over her mind and she won't return to herself until it's opened."

"Let her open it then, how bad can it be?" Elijah asked.

Everyone protested.

"It's not that simple, Elijah. If she opens it we'll all probably die." Mary was straight to the point.

"But we need to fix her!" He looked desperate.

"And we will." Sophia looked determined. "But we can't keep her frozen forever."

"She will think no time has passed once I lift the spell." Chloe informed. "I could lift it the moment we're all about to die and she'd wonder where we all got our wrinkles from."

"Impressive." Harry noted.

"Thank you, Puddin. Now, we have to get rid of this box."

"I can make it's ties to the underworld are stronger, but I can't do that until Anji is unfrozen because she's kind of tied to the box right now." Mary offered.

They all agreed it would be the best bet.

"Tonight then, while she's asleep. I'll need some help."

•••

"It must mean something important!"

I was now unfrozen, and I hadn't even realized I had been frozen.

"Anji, if the box isn't gone by tomorrow, you can open it." Mary said. Sophia and Chloe flashed her panicked looks. She gave them an, "it's all I've got" one in return. So now I was just an annoyance, bothering them about this box.

"Fine." I answered, suddenly crabby. "I'm going to my room. I've seen this movie anyway."

Elijah tried to stop me. "Anjali, wai-"

"Let her go. She won't be herself until this is resolved anyway." Mary answered.

Too annoyed to care, I sulked off and moped into my bed.

I woke up in a much better mood, wondering what had happened last night. I didn't remember much. I turned to face the foot of my bed, where the mysterious box was laid open, with nothing inside.
