Harry arrived hours later. It was eleven when he came back. The gang all went to bed, or at least tried to. I hadn't slept in weeks, and I didn't see any point in trying anymore.
He walked in, soaked to the bone, with bloodshot eyes. His feet dragged on the floor.
"Harry, forgive me, but you look.... awful.... are you alright? What did you find?" I asked.
He looked shocked. "I thought you all would be asleep by now."
I shrugged. "No point in trying."
"I didn't find anything."
I had never seen him like this. Defeated. Deflated. It was strange.
"That doesn't mean you won't." I tried a smile. It felt weird.
"I should go to bed..." He started to walk off, but I stopped him.
"Harry, if you need to talk, the whole gang is willing to listen. You just lost your girlfriend, you're kinda being possessed, and two close friends of yours are gone. If you need to get feelings out we are all willing to listen."
He nodded. "I appreciate it, but I've grown a damn tough skin and can take this on. What about you? You lost two close friends and Elijah. Are you okay?"
Was I okay? No, I wasn't. I hadn't slept in weeks, I was week I was awake, you've never seen a young girl more in need of a break. Longing for Chloe, missing E, that's when Miss Maria Reynolds walked into my-
Oops, I started thinking in Hamilton lyrics again.
But in all seriousness, I was hungry and sleep reprieved and miserable, and didn't know what to do.
"I'm alright. Just trying to figure things out. I wish you'd talk though."
He nodded. I had never really confided in Harry before, and he's never really confided in me. Maybe it was the lack of sleep.
"Get some rest, you'll need it." I say.
"You too. Forcing yourself to stay awake won't help anything, it'll only make it worse."
I nod and watch him walk to his room. I flop on the couch and attempt at sleep.

It was 11 when I woke up. I bolted upwards, then remembered it was Saturday and I could lounge on the couch some more.
I heard noises in the kitchen.
"Shh! Don't wake her up, she hasn't slept in weeks, she needs it." Sophia whispered.
Sherlock muttered an apology.
"I'm awaaaake." I called out, voice groggy.
"Oh!" Sophia walked over. "Go back bed."
"It's 11, I doubt I will."
"Fair point. Breakfast?"
I waved my hand and a plate of pancakes appeared in front of me.
"Anji, we don't know how you got these powers and they might be incredibly dangerous."
"Mmmhm." I munched on a pancake.
"So don't use them!"
I shrugged. "They're here, might as well make use of them."
"I know where they came from!"
Mary stood in the doorway. But not Mary, Hades. We all froze. Thank the gods Harry wasn't here. He'd strangle her (him?) on spot.
"It's from when Lucifer possessed you."
Ugh. Lucifer. He had a thing for me. We ballroom danced and hung out by a fountain. Then the guy took over my soul. Not my best date.
"You're a pretty happy person overall so you've got enough light in you to balance out all that dark magic in there. But one thing goes wrong and you could be all evil and schist. Your souls are attached. My doing by the way, when I grabbed ahold of it."
I tried to process this. My soul was connected to Lucifer's. Which means I have magic. But at any moment I could hurt someone I love.
Fudge.
