Harry sat in his room, turning his fedora over and over in his hands, looking at each of the buttons on it. There was his Slytherin button, his Whovian button, his Sherlock button-
He dropped the Fedora and hunched over.
"I am getting stronger." The voice inside his head hissed. "You do not stand a chance."
Harry managed to squeak out a cry of desperation.
"Haha! Who shall I hurt first? The daughter of Harley Quinn and Loki?"
An image of Chloe flashed into his mind.
"No- please-!"
"You cannot let your guard down, Craig. We have a deal, remember?"
"Y-yes!"
"Very good. I shall leave you at peace for now. But remember- I am always watching."
Just like that, the headache was gone, and was replaced with panic and worrying.

"This time you're going down!" I chuckled as I pulled the checker board box down from the shelf.
Elijah chuckled. "We'll see."
It was Saturday night, and the Hamilteam was off doing its thing. Sophia, Gabe, Mary and Sherlock were all on a date night, Chloe was visiting Asgard, and Harry was in his room. He had decided to turn in early. Elijah and I had decided to stay home and rest for a while.
Whenever we played checkers, Elijah always won. It used to bother me, but it doesn't anymore. It was funny to watch my attempts to win, I'll admit it. I started a fire and we began to play.
"What's wrong?" He asked me after a few minutes. "You would have evilly laughed about your plans to win by now."
I smiled. "You're good. Just.. everything. Obviously chaos isn't over for us. If anything, it's just started."
"Of course." He nodded.
"What if something happens to us?" I asked. "Something worse than what already has."
He looked at me. "Well, we'll just have to face it, won't we?"
I moved one of my pieces. "We can't live peacefully, can we? You always go missing, someone always gets possessed or almost dies..."
"Yes, but in the end we all come back here, and end up together, where we belong." He took my hand and moved his piece over mine, marking a victory for him.
I groaned. "You win again, good sir."
He chucked. "Okay, it's late, go to bed." He picked up the checker board.
"But I don't waaaaant tooooooo." I pouted.
"You need sleep, you haven't slept properly in days."
"You do too!" I argued.
"I will sleep, I just have to close up the Tardis and all." He answered.
"I can help! I'll-"
He picked me up and threw me into bed. "Sleep."
"But-"
"Sleep!"
I paused. "Fiiiiiiiiiiine."
He kissed my forehead, wished me goodnight and walked out of the room.
"I'm not going to fall asleep!" I called after him.
Two seconds later, I was snoring.

"Elijah?" Harry called from down the hallway.
"Yeah?" Elijah walked over to him.
"It's.. it's Freckles. He's getting stronger. He's going to take over my whole being soon."
Elijah dropped the checker board. "Well.... we're just going to have to be prepared when he does."
