"I'll just take out your soul and take the evil part out of it." Gabe told me that night at dinner. It was strangely quiet without Lydia, Elijah, Chloe, or Mary. Mary had been visiting us- obviously as Hades- but she didn't stick around for long.
"Will it hurt?" I asked.
"Oh yeah, immensely. But what other choice do we have?"
I hated to admit how true this was. "Alright. When should we do it?"
"Well, forgive me to answer your question with a question, but, what's your favorite color?"
"Uh, pink. But what does that have to do with- AHHHHHHH!"
Gabe had stuck his hand into my back, and was feeling around for my soul.
"Hey... that tickles!"
"It's not supposed to tickle!" He looked a little angry. He should have been happy, at least it didn't hurt.
He removed his hand. "There. Now you're all good."
I waved my hand and sparkles emitted from it. At least I still got my powers.
"Thanks."

"You cannot get me to scream." Chloe snarled in Hades' ear. "I won't give you the satisfaction. Besides, mortal knives all never harm me. I am the daughter of Loki."
Hades smiled. "Oh Amora, I wouldn't be so foolish and use a simple butter knife on you, oh no." He held up a sharp blade emitted with green jewels. "This Asgardian knife should do the trick."
Chloe's eyes widened in fear. "No..." she whispered.
"Oh yes..." Hades held it up to her face. "Soon I will have all my answers, all thanks to you, hun." He whispered in her ear, giving Chloe goosebumps.
"I will never....."
Hades smiled with a glint in his eye and raised the blade.

I was making some eggs when it happened. I felt a burning desire for immense power and revenge. But from what? Why did I feel this way?
Then it was gone. I decided not to tell my friends. It was probably nothing, and there was no need to make maters worse.
Harry arrived back from another attempt to look for Chloe.
"I have news!" He announced as he ran to grab an apple.
"You've found a way to defeat Hades? Sophia asked, coming from the library.
"You've found any of our missing friends?" I asked.
"You have Candy?" Gabe exclaimed.
We all looked at him.
"What?"
"No, kind of, and yes." Harry tossed Gabe a Snickers. "I've got a location on Chloe. I'll need to tinker around a bit but I'll be able to find her, and won't rest until I get her back."
"You sound like you're going to do this alone." I pointed out.
"I am."
"What?!"
"Look, it's the only way. Too many people will be too noticeable, and I don't want you all getting hurt."
"Harry we'd rather fight, despite the dangers than-"
"I know, I know. But can you trust me? Please? I know what I'm doing."
I sighed. Why did he have to be right?
