I woke up on the couch, this time without screaming.
"She's awake!" Chloe yelled.
I took in my surroundings. Sophia was sitting on a chair, her eyes closed. Gabe was leaning over her muttering something.
"Is Sophia okay?" I asked.
Harry, looking drained, walked in. "We're all okay. After you jumped on Hades- which was stupid yet brilliant by the way- we all started attacking him because he was caught of guard. All of our powers combined weakened him, and-"
"And then I came back, because nobody in Chuck's name is going to hurt my daughter!"
A non possessed, not tortured Mary walked into the room. A smile lit up my face and I ran to hug her.
"Mary!" I yelled.
"Don't run!" Harry yelled after me. There was no use in stopping me.
We hugged each other tightly. "I'm so glad you're back!" I cheered.
"I'm glad to be back." She smiled.
I pulled away to see her belly was very very round. "Um..."
She laughed. "Don't worry, we'll tell you everything."
Soon, we all sat together in the library. Sophia was sitting in a big armchair, with Gabe staring behind her. His head was on her shoulder, and she held it tightly. Mary and Sherlock were both on the couch, Sherlock's arm around her shoulder, and Mary had her hand protectively over her stomach. Chloe and Harry sat on the floor, holding hands. I sat with Elijah on the other end of the couch, his hand holding on tightly to mine, as if he believed letting go of my hand would result in another near death attack. We all drank hot chocolate and smelled the comforting sent of old books all around us.
"After you attacked Hades," Gabe started to say. "He was caught off guard, which was the perfect opportunity for all of us to strike. We weakened him, for sure, but nothing seemed to happen. Then you yelled for Mary."
"I started to fight back." Mary told me. "I could hear all of you, but it sounded like I was making a phone call through a dark tunnel. A bad connection."
"With all of our powers combined," Chlow continued, "He didn't stand a chance. He fell into the box, and now he's gone. It took a lot of our energy though. You and Sofa both passed out. If it weren't for Gabe and Elijah..."
Elijah's hand twitched, and Gabe shuddered.
"No need to finish that thought." I quietly told her.
"As for Lydia, she is currently inside of my wife." Sherlock smiled.
"And.... you're happy about that?"
"Of course! She's safer now."
I chuckled and took a sip of my drink. "Where is the box?"
"Far from here." Harry muttered.
"In Hell." Mary told me. "Locked away and has enchantments pouring out of it. There's no way he can escape."
We all cheered, except for Mary and Sherlock.
"Why aren't you happy about this?" I asked.
"We are." Mary told me. "But.. that's my father..."
"Yeah, but he's gone! We don't have to worry about him anymore!" Gabe smiled and licked a lollipop.
"I... I have to go." Mary jumped up and ran out of the room, Sherlock following closely behind her.
"It... it must just be the pregnancy hormones kicking in..." I thought out loud.
Things certainly did not end up the way we had expected it to, but that's life. We were all safe and happy in our Hamilteam mansion, and that's all I could ever ask for. I put my head on Elijah's shoulder and laughed with my friends, thankful we had made it through another adventure.
