Why Fall For Him

Chapter 9

*Justin's pov*

-

Selena kissed me before she left to go to her doctors appointment. For the past week, she's been feeling nauseous, she's been throwing up more than once a day. When I ask her how she's feeling, she shrugs her shoulders and shakes her head. I think she may have a stomach virus but she thinks it's something else, but she won't say what she thinks.

I had to force her to go to the doctors but she refused to let me go. I didn't try to argue, only to make her happy.

My phone began to ring. Instantly i picked it up, hoping it was Selena. Only to see it wasn't. It was Jacque. I rolled my eyes then turned my phone off. I didn't want to be reminded of her or what we did. I wanted to put everything we did behind me. I made a huge mistake and I don't want to fall for her little tricks again.

I guess it was that look she wore on her face. She looked lost and helpless. It almost made me want to give her everything she wanted, just to see her smile. I didn't like her or even get butterflies when she stares at me but she had me under a spell and it was like I had no control over what I was tempted to do.

I couldn't fall for her tricks and risk everything I love, Selena. I put everything at risk and I can't do that again.

*Selena's pov*

I parked my car then took my keys out of the ignition. I leaned my head against the head rest. I deeply sighed.

I hoped out of my car, slowly walking inside the doctor'us office.

As soon as I walked in, a doctor called my name. We walked inside a small room. He began asking me questions about my Health. After ten minutes, he blankly starred at me.

He leaned against the wall.

"Have you had any kind sexual activity lately?" He asked. "Y-yeah." I stuttered. "Last week" I whispered weakly. I knew where he was going with this. I explained how I was feeling over the past two weeks. He didn't say anything, he just shook his head. He left the room and within five minutes he came back into the room.

He sat beside me, starring deep into my eyes. I knew what he was about to say. I felt my heart beat faster. "You're pregnant." He said as a smile crossed both of our face. Somehow I was shocked. I didn't know if I was happy or upset. So many emotions ran throughout my body, although I did see this coming.

The thought made my skin crawl and made my heart beat faster. The more I thought about it and let reality sink in, the more the scared I became. Not for myself or Justin but, for the baby. Now I no longer have to protect myself from him, but my baby as well.

"You're pregnant." I heard his words repeat over and over inside my head.

*Justin's pov*

There was a faint knock on the door. I ran from the kitchen as I unlocked the door. Jacque came bursting in.

"We need to talk!" She said. She sounded desperate. "What is it? I asked harshly. Tears formed in her eyes as she said, "I'm pregnant." A smile crossed her face and her eyes lit up. I furrowed my eye brows.

Just as soon as I was about to say something, the door opened and Selena walked in. I ran my fingers through my hair.

Selena looked at Jacque then back at me. She studied Jacques face and gave her a fierce look. My body tensed up. I saw the pain and hatred in Selena's eyes. My heart shattered just by looking at her. I saw the pain in her eyes. Tears were forming in her eyes but she managed to hold them back.

"Why is she here?" Selena asked, as she turned her attention to me. Her voice was weak. I could tell she was trying her best to hold back the pain. I hated to see her like this. I stood front of Selena. I held her hands in mine. "Listen." I whispered.

*Selena's pov*

Justin lifted my chin with his index finger. As much as I wanted to look into his eyes and forgive him, I knew I couldn't. I knew his little tricks. I've fallen for every one of them.

I looked the other direction as Justin spoke softly, trying to get my attention. I tuned his voice out.

"Whatever she says," he paused as he brushed the hair from my face behind my ears.

"Baby, I promise it's not true." He whispered into my ear. I wanted to believe him, but as much as I wanted to, i couldn't.

Our hands were locked together. He gritted his teeth. Our eyes locked.

"Go ahead Justin, tell her." Jacque said as a smile crossed her face. Justin jerked away, turning his attention back to Jacque.

"Tell me what?" I asked. There was a long moment of silence.

Justin stood between us, not making a sound. His face turned pale and his breathing became heavy.

Each time he was about to say something, all he did was stuttered.

All I could think of was, 'he's hiding something'.

"Should I tell her?" Jacque asked. She looked at me with hatred in her eyes. She rubbed her hands all over Justin's body. He bit his lip, controlling everything he was holding inside. Jealously overcame me. I felt my skin boil. She grabbed his hands, trying to force him to hold hers.

"He's the father of my ba-" Justin cut her off. "I think you need to go!" He demanded. I ran to our bedroom, packing my things as past as I could. Tears formed in my eyes as I let reality sink in. Tears streamed down my face. I threw a few outfits in my suitcases then left as fast as I could. I stopped as I pasted Jacque.

"Make sure he's happy. That's all I've ever wanted." I ran out the door before Justin noticed I had left but, it was too late. He was already following behind me.

*Justin's pov*

I ran towards Selena's car before she left. I tapped on her window a few times before she rolled down the window. I was completely speechless. I didn't know what to say. She's never walked out like that. Now, I feel like complete shit knowing I'm letting her go, knowing she's drowning in her own tears. Her makeup was running down her face. Her eyes were red and her cheeks were a soft pink.

"Bye Justin." She weakly whispered through sniffles. I couldn't find the words to say.

"I love you." Was all I could say. Those were my last words I said to her before she left, most likely forever. I have no idea where she's going. I didn't ask because I knew somehow I would find her if it were truly meant to be.

She faintly smiled. She pulled out of the driveway. Tears rolled down my cheek as her car began to fade in the distance.

I slowly walked back inside. I walked past Jacque. She pulled me by the arm and said, "Now that your kingdom is missing a princess, wanna-" I cut her off. "You really need to leave." I said as harshly as I could. After about five minutes later, she left without saying a word. After she left, I sat down on the couch and thought about what she said a little over a week ago.

"Your kingdom is going to be missing it's princes." I heard her voice repeat several times in my head. And for the first time, I realized what she meant. She planned this. She planned our breakup. She knew the only way Selena would leave is if she found out somehow I slept with someone other than her. I ran outside as I ran down the street. I yelled Selena's name, hoping somehow she would hear my cries and come back. I was screaming a name that would never reply back. I felt my heart shatter into a million pieces.

"She planned this." I kept telling myself.
