Why Fall For Him
Chapter 12

I walked around the train tracks, waiting for George to show up. I lit a cigarette as I kicked around the trash that was laying on the ground. Shattered beer bottles were shattered across the ground. A few of them were mine but the majority were from the gangs that hang around here. I've never gotten myself involved with them much, but I do know a few. I wouldn't call them friends, not even acquaintances. They're just people I hang around when I come here once and a while.
If Selena and I were fighting and it got to the point to where I couldn't take it anymore, I would storm out of the house and run to the train tracks.
It's been my venting area for over a year now.
I walked to my car, which was only a few feet away. I grabbed a bottle of vodka and popped the bottle.
I felt a growing pain start to form in the back of my throat with each gulp I swallowed. Within 30 minutes I felt my head slowly begin to spin and my attention and focus began to slowly fade. I banged me head against my seat. I sighed heavily. I slowly lost my train of thought and grew impatient.

George drove in circles around the train station. I starred at him and I couldn't help but notice how stressed he look. His expression was blank.
"Stay here." He demanded. I shook my head. As he was getting out, I grabbed his hand.
"Where you going?" We were behind the train station and nearby a train track. There was another car parked in the distance.
"I need you to stay in here." He said, refusing to answer my question. He got back in the car. He cupped my face with the palm of his hands. Our lips connected. Butterflies fluttered my stomach. I had forgotten everything I was going to say. He depended our kiss but to only pull away seconds later. A craving for his lips over came me. I couldn't help but smile. His eyes sparkled and a smile crossed his face.
"Stay here." He said again. I didn't argue back, I just watched him walk into the distance. He walked up to the car that was parked a few feet from his.
Darkness surrounded me, and the only thing that allowed me to see was George's dim headlights. The night was silent, almost too silent.

A shadow began to appear in front of me. I turned around and a car was parked a few feet from mine. The headlights write dimmed but there was enough light to see through the distance. I lit another cigarette. I leaned against my car, impatiently waiting for George.
By the time he came by, I couldn't think straight and my vision was fuzzy. I threw another empty vodka bottle on the ground.
He walked up to me. Both of us stood in silence. I had forgotten everything I was going to say. We just starred at each other until George broke the silence.
"She's still in love with you." He faintly whispered.
"She tries to tell herself she's not, but she's only fooling herself." He continued. I stood in silence. I wanted to believe what he said but, I couldn't. Maybe he's trying to cover up for her and make me feel better. I won't fall for it.
