Renelle's POV
"Captain Renelle!" A soldier yelled as they approached me while I was training my squad, I turned to them "Commander Armin wants you" they said, I nodded and they disappeared, I turned to my squad "Practice your combat. Should you slack off it's 30laps" I ordered, they nodded before I left for Armin's office.

They was only four of us from the 104th cadets, Armin, Reiner, Annie, who finally came out of the crystal and is under our custody, and myself, everyone else was killed on an expedition, including Levi, Mike, Hange and Erwin, however some of the soldiers say it's like Levi and Erwin are still here since Armin reminds them of Erwin and I remind them of Levi, I don't see how I remind them of the midget but oh well.

I knocked on his office door before entering, there sat at his desk was Armin with his head in his hands, he had altered a lot over the years, he had grown a lot in height and muscle, his blonde hair was still long and tied back, "You wanted me, Armin?" I asked, he rose from his seat and nodded, I closed the door and walked further into the room, he came over and gave me a hug before breaking down, I sighed and hugged him back, I knew exactly why he called for me, its the anniversary of Eren and Mikasa's death.

His legs buckled underneath him making him come to my chest, "It'll get easier. I promise" I whispered as I stroked his hair, he pulled away and looked up at me "How do you do it?" He asked, I wiped his tears and kneeled down to look him in the eyes, "I..." I trailed off, "You saw Krista and Sasha die in front of you, yet it seemed like it didn't effect you at all" he said, I sighed and looked to the side, "I'm just good at hiding it" I say, he tilted my head back towards him and gave me a weak smiled before kissing me.

We was on an expedition to regain the Shiganshina District, it was the only part of the wall that was still over run by Titans, I was leading my squad through the district when an abnormal came out of nowhere and collide with a building as we avoided it, it pulled away from the building and my eyes widened as it had Henry, a member of my squad, in its mouth before swallowing him, "No!" Harriet scream as she flew towards it, "Joe, you take control. Help out with the others. I'll act alone" I ordered they nodded before I took off after Harriet, she was in the mouth of one of the Titans making me sigh before I sliced its nape making it fall.

I landed next to her, "I'm sorry Captain. I went off with my anger clouding my thoughts" she said before passing away "You've done your fight. Rest" I say closing her eyes, I stood up and heard yells, so I flew in the direction of them to see Armin in the grip of a Titan, my eyes widened before I picked up the speed and sliced the arm off before the nape, I landed and went over to him, "You two. You had been picked to keep the Commander safe! Yet you failed as he almost died!" I yelled going towards them.

"Renelle, I'm f-" "Don't you dare say you're fine! You could of died!" I yell cutting Armin off, his eyes widened making me sigh, "I won't allow anyone else I love die to these things" I say, he tilted my head up to him and gave me a weak smile "You won't lose me" he said, I noticed a purple flare making my eyes widened before I flew over, "Captain!" Joe yelled as I landed, "Harriet's gone" I say, he dropped his head and nodded "So's Lucy and George" he said, I sighed "Why'd you let of a purple flare?" I asked, "Look" he said mentioning the window of a house.

I looked inside and saw a family huddling in a corner, my eyes widened before I turned back to him, "Go give the message to Armin that we've found survivors" I ordered, he nodded before taking off, I opened the door and went over to them, they coward further into the corner, "I'm Captain Renelle Diddley, I'm apart of the Survey Corps, we're not here to hurt you, we're here to take you back into the wall" I say, the mother of the group nodded and stood up with her children revealing their skeleton structures.

I lead them outside and was met by Armin, Annie, Reiner and Joe, "Commander, these are the survivors" I say mentioning the family behind me, he nodded "My name's Armin Arlert. What are your names?" He asked, "Kiera Unduly, these are my children, Mia, Erin and Arran" she said, "We need to escort them to the wagons" Armin ordered, I nodded before we began to make our way, Armin and myself leading while Joe, Annie and Reiner covered from behind, Erin seemed to cower more into her mother as we walked through the streets, while Mia and Arran walked at a distance but not too far from their mother.

An abnormal jumped over us making the kids scream, I look at the direction it came from seeing three more Titans, "Protect them at all costs. The three on the left belong to me" I ordered, "Captain wait-!" Joe was cut off by me flying away, I killed the Titans and returned to the group, "Renelle, that was-" "Stupid, irresponsible of me. I know Armin" I say as we arrived at the wagons, I helped Kiera and her family into the wagon before passing them all some bread and water, "You and the Commander close, Miss Diddley?" Kiera asked, "Please call me Renelle. Yes we are, we were in the same graduation unit, same with our comrades Annie and Reiner" I say.

She smiled "Move out! We return to the wall!" Armin yelled, I got on my horse and rid along side Joe at the back of the formation, we was coming to the outside of the wall when I heard light thudding making me turn around seeing a Titan moving at a speed catching up to us, "Joe, go inform Armin that I think we've got a Titan shifter on our arses" I say, he nodded and picked up his speed immensely to get up to the front, I pulled my blades out preparing myself to take it or slow it down, however it seemed to completely ignore me and headed directly for the wagon that had Kiera and her family in.

My eyes widened before I stood up on the back of my horse before grappling on to the titan and flying towards the nape, "Renelle stop!" I heard Armin yell before the titan stopped moving and grabbed my wire and dangled me in front of its face, my face hardened before stabbing it one of its eyes making it drop me, I was caught in the hands of another Titan, I looked up and saw Armin's titan form looking down at me, while Annie and Reiner distracted the possible titan shifter, I stood up and smiled as he brought me up to his face, I kissed his nose "Thank you" I say, he smiled before setting me down in the same wagon as Kiera, "Are you okay?" She asked, I nodded "Continue towards the gate!" I ordered.

We had got inside the walls a couple of hours ago, the possible titan shifter got away from Armin, Annie and Reiner which annoyed me so much, I was sat in my office finishing my paperwork when my door slammed open and Armin stormed in, "Are you crazy?!" He yelled, I looked up from the paperwork, "You could of been killed Renelle!" He continued, I stood up and went around the other side of my desk, "Armin, I'm fine" I say placing my hand on his shoulder, he shrugged it off "You went after it alone! What would of happened if it slaughtered you!?" He yelled.

I sighed "Are you doubting my skills, Commander?" I asked coming close to loosing my calm, "You should know better than going after Titans alone!" He yelled, "How come you never stopped Mikasa or Eren from going alone!?" I yelled, his eyes widened at the mention of his dead friends and he silenced himself, I sighed and rested my hands on his face, "I am fine Armin. You'll never loose me" I say looking in his eyes, he pulled me into a hug, "I don't know what I would of done if I lost you" he said into the crook of my neck, I pulled away before kissing him.
