Isobel's POV
I walked towards Lord Connie's room to wake him up for his date with the Lady Blause, I've been working for the Springer's for a solid 6years, after they found me on streets trying to get enough money for my Grandmothers medication, Lady Springer, who's has seen me more as a daughter than a servant, promised to pay for all of the treatment my grandmother needed as I worked for them, I was then promoted to become Lord Connie's personal maid and during the period of being his personal maid, I've developed a crush for him, of course I would never tell anyone that.

I walked into his room and opened the curtains "Good morning M'Lord" I say as I opened the windows slightly, "Isobel, I've told you plenty of times to call me Connie" he said as he got out of his bed, "Apologies" I say as I laid out his outfit for today, "So what's on my agenda today, Isobel?" He asked as he got changed, "You'll be having your date with the Lady Sasha Blouse" I say, he nodded and went over to his drawers before pulling out a box and coming over to me, "Happy birthday Isobel" he said as he handed me the box.

"You didn't have to get me anything, Connie" I say before opening the box, revealing a necklace with a diamond heart on, I gasped, he took it out of the box "Turn around" he said, I did so and he placed it on me, "Beautiful" he said making me blush as I looked towards the floor, he tilted my head to look him in the eyes, he began to lean in but I pulled away, "What's the matter?" He asked, "Our relationship it's not right. I'm your personal maid" I say, "Your my personal maid who has such an exquisite beauty, any man would be lucky to be your husband" he said.

Heat rushed to my face as I looked at my feet, he placed his finger under my chin and tilted it up before he peck my lips, he smiled and pulled away, "I fancy you, Isobel" he said, I just bit my lip before nodding and leading him to the parlour, "Lord Connie, you should know never to keep a Lady waiting" Lady Blause said as she arose from her seat, I stood next to her personal maid, Mina.

She gave a small smile, "Mina! More tea" Lady Sasha ordered, "Of course M'lady" Mina said before going over and filling her cup up again, "Psst" someone whispered, I turned my head and saw Marco, I went over to him, "Lord Springer is required in the meeting room immediately" He whispered, I nodded before going over to Connie and Lady Blause.

"I hate to ruin you date, M'Lord, but you're required in the meeting room immediately" I say giving a little bow, "I'll be back, Sasha. Isobel, keep her company would you" Connie said as he rose from his seat, I nodded before he left and silence fell in the room, "So Lady Blause, did you have a nice journey over here?" I asked, she nodded "It was pleasant enough, minus the little ones that were on the streets" she said, I nodded "That's good to hear M'Lady" I say.

She nodded before purposefully knocking her cup on the floor, it smashed and Mina rushed to clean it, "No, Mina. It's not your job, it's hers" she sneered as she glared at me, I nodded as I made my way over to the smashed cup before picking up the pieces and wiping the remaining tea up, "What's this?" She asked as she grabbed my necklace when I stood up, "It was a gift" I say, she scoffed and ripped it off my neck "Liar, you stole this! No matter how hard you try you'll always be the filthy scum off the streets" she said, my fists clenched before I tackled her to the floor wrapping my hands around her neck.

"Isobel, stop!" Mina yelled as she ran over to us, "Someone help!" Mina yelled, I was kicked off Sasha making her gasp and cough as she caught her breath, she was helped up and I looked up to see Connie with anger in his face, "Are you okay?" He asked Sasha, she began to fake cry, "She attack me out of no where" she fake sobbed, I stood up glaring at the lying cow, "Is this true?" Connie asked Mina, Sasha gave her a hard look and Mina nodded "Yes M'Lord" Mina said as she shot me an apologetic look.

He came over and pinned me against the wall, rage filling his eyes, "I thought you was better than this" he growled, I pushed him off me "It's just like she said, no matter how hard I try I'll always be the filthy scum off the streets" I say, his eyes softened before I left the parlour, I ran to my room and locked myself in there for the remaining of the day as I silently cried.

It was nightfall and hadn't move one bit, they was a knock at my door, "Isobel?" Connie's voice asked from the other side of the door, I wiped my face and stood up before opening the door, glaring at him "What M'Lord?" I snapped, his face dropped as he looked at the floor, "May I come in?" He asked, I moved out of his way as he came in, I shut the door behind him, "So I check the security camera in the parlour once Sasha left" he said, I rolled my eyes "And you found out that she was lying" I said in a monotone, he sighed and nodded.

"I also saw that she ripped your birthday present off your neck" he said revealing it in his hand, "Where is this going?" I asked as I sat on my bed, he crouched down and put his head in my lap as he started to cry, "I'm sorry I kicked you and didn't believe you" he sobbed, my eyes widened, through the years I've been working here, I've never seen him cry.

I picked his head up and made him look at me, my heart broke at the state he was in, "Please don't cry" I say wiping his tears only to have more replace them, I sighed before hugging him which he accepted happily, "I'm so sorry" he repeated I pulled away, "I forgive you" I say, he gave a slight smile before leaning in and kissing me, my eyes widened before I kissed him back.
