At roughly 12am we had finished watching saw 1 and 2 and I had been scarred for life, who actually thinks of all these horrible movies? "Well I think I should get going, Dodie would be home by now" pj stretched his arms out into the air and yawned loudly, I wanted to get home too. "Ok, see ya later peej!" Dan waved goodbye to him, releasing me from his grip momentarily, maybe I should head home, apricot can come back when she wants.

After PJ had left and we were all deciding on another movie to watch I figured it would be the perfect time to go home, I didn't want to start a movie and not know how it ended "I'm gonna head home, love" I lightly kissed dans cheek and he looked at me like a sad puppy "already? But I thought you had something to tell me" oh yeah! I totally forgot, I could probably just call him or text him, it would probably be a safer option. "I'll text you later" he opened his mouth to argue with me but I silenced him with a quick, yet oddly satisfying, kiss.

"Ok then" he mumbled reluctantly "thank you love" I stood up, stretched my legs and yawned loudly "I'm gonna head home, see you all soon!" Everyone turned around on their seats to face me, well everyone except Dan who was already staring at me. "Apricot I'll leave the keys to the house under the door mat" I smiled at her warmly and she returned the smile "ok, see you later roomie"

After everybody had said their goodbyes I made my way into the hall and then out the front door, the drastic change of temperatures made me shiver, I can't remember the last time it was this cold in London.

Luckily I only lived 10 minutes from Chris's place, 5 if I called an über, so I didn't have a long journey to get home. I walked to the end of Chris's street, my hands shoved in my pockets in an attempt to preserve any body heat, and stopped under a street lamp to call a taxi. As I was calling the taxi service I started to fiddle with the little bits of lint in the depths of my hoodie pocket, I couldn't wait to get home and curl up on my bed with my warm laptop.

Once the taxi arrived I was frozen half to death and my fingers had started to go numb. "Good evening sir!" the driver said in a bubbly tone as I climbed into the back seats of the car, slamming the door shut behind me. "Good evening" as much as I hated talking to strangers, I felt rude if I didn't make at least a little bit of conversation "so where would you like me to take you this fine evening?" I told him my address and he typed it into his navigation system which immediately started to tell him directions.

For a little while we sat in blissful silence as I made patterns on the steamy window with my finger tip, writing my name and drawing stars. "So, are you going to see your girlfriend? Eh?" I wanted to tell him that I was super gay but I didn't know if he would be rude towards me if I did so I tired to tell him in the most passive way possible "oh I don't swing that way" whenever someone said that I imagine people on a tennis court hitting in different directions and I giggled under my breath. "Oh my son is gay too! He is a nice boy".

Oh thank god, he's not homophobic, that's a good start.

We started to talk about his son who is called Mahmoud and he's going to university this year apparently, we were talking so much about his son that I started to become proud of him as if he were my own son. Soon we arrived at my house and he pulled up directly outside my front door "thank you for driving me!" I handed him over £10 and an extra £5 tip for being really nice. "Have a nice evening Phil!" When your taxi driver calls you by your first name after a 5 minute drive, you know that it was a good drive.

I hopped out the car and back into the freezing cold, time to finally get a good nights sleep.
