Once I had put apricot in a comfortable position someone knocked on the door, it was probably Dan since he'd been out for so long.

I quietly made my way to the door so that I didn't wake up apricot and opened the door "hey Dan, are Chris and PJ ok?" I whispered "yeah they're fine, why are you whispering?" I put my finger over his mouth and shushed him "long story but there's a girl having a nap in my room" he gave me an odd look, like confusion mixed with anger. I gestured for him to come inside and he did "what do you mean you have a girl sleeping in your room?" He whispered too but his voice had a stern undertone.

I stopped him in the middle of the hallway and tried to explain to him as quickly and as quietly as possible. "Oh, poor apricot" we kept walking down the hall until we reached my bedroom door, I gently pushed the door open and saw apricot spread across my bed like a star fish while she was snoring heavily.

"Poodles.." she started to mumble in her sleep and I tried as hard as I could to not laugh "coolio tulio.." what on earth is that girl dreaming about? I suddenly realised how creepy we were being by watching her sleep and so I ushered Dan to back away from the door.

"Well she seems.. nice" Dan chuckled and I elbowed him in the chest playfully "want a cup of tea angel?" I offered as we walked into the kitchen "yes please" he sat down at the little table for two by the door and watched me while I started to boil some water. "Music?" As the kettle was heating up I got my phone out and opened my Spotify. "Go on then, do you have shelter?" I span my head round towards him and looked him straight in the eyes. "You've seen shelter too?" He nodded and a tiny smile grew on his face "who hasn't?" True.

Once I had finished making the tea I connected my Spotify to the radio and started to play shelter. "I love this song too much" Dan closed his eyes and began to hum along while I placed his cup of tea in front of him. I just watched him sing along while I had tiny sips of my tea, he looked so perfect when he was experiencing something he loved. "I'll give them shelter like you've done for me" I interrupted dans humming to sing that one line, I feel like it represents how I feel towards Dan.

In such a short time he's given me more love than anyone I've ever met in a very long time and I don't think I've thanked him enough for that. "You have such a beautiful voice" he looked at me with his eyes filled with awe and I thought about how I could use this to my advantage. "Can I hear yours?" He looked down at his tea and did that thing where he laughs quietly and looks down at his hands it is the most beautiful thing I've ever seen "when I'm older, I'll be silent beside you" he didn't really sing the lyric he quietly hummed it but it still sounded angelic, anything does when Dan says it.

"I know words won't be enough and they won't need to know our names or our faces but they will carry on for us" he started to sing it a bit louder and clearer and I just wanted to pull him towards me and kiss him. He was so charming and lovely.

"WHOS PLAYING SHELTER??" I heard apricot yell from my bedroom and I started to giggle "us!" Dan responded and I heard apricot gasp. "HOLD THE FUCKING PHONE" She suddenly appeared in the doorway and looked at Dan with wide eyes "YOU'RE BLOODY DAN HOWELL" well this was an interesting situation to say the least "that'll be moi" Dan laughed half heartedly.

"MY SISTER LOVES YOU! I don't know who you are or what you do but she talks about you enough!" Ok phew, I thought she was like some kind of super crazy fan of Dan and I'd have to fight her off "anyway, turn that shit up and start it again! I wanna have a little karaoke session!" I laughed at apricots enthusiasm and gladly obliged to her demands "what ever you say". I started the song again and turned it up a bit louder and for the next couple of minutes we all had the most intense sing along I've ever heard and it was the perfect start to the day.

I'm so ready for Christmas
