"Do you reckon these jonin might know more about Tsukiko-sensei?" Aki queried as she poked her noodles. "I mean, she's been working with these people a lot right?"

"I guess," Aiyanna said, setting down her bowl.

"Woah! So fast!" Aki commented, noticing her friend had already cleaned out her third bowl of ramen.

"Well, we train enough that it's not an issue, right?" Aiyanna retorted at her friend's expression.

"I didn't say anything!" Aki insisted.

"You said 'woah, so fast'," Nanami said helpfully as she lay her chopsticks down, having just finished her first and only bowl.

"She meant about my weight," Aiyanna said. "But Aki is right, we should see if these people know anything. Also, Nanami..."

"Yes?"

"Have you ever thought about wearing your headband over your eyes, like how Aki and I use ours during the training sessions with Tsukiko-sensei?"

"That would certainly be an effective way of letting people know I'm blind," Nanami said.

"No, I mean-"

"It would look freaky, you know?" Aki said enthusiastically, grinning at her. "Like, they'll come at you and think you're making fun of 'em cause they'll think you're not taking 'em seriously."

"Ah, an angry opponent makes mistakes that become easier to exploit," Nanami struck her palm with the opposite fist lightly.

"Just a thought," Aiyanna laughed. "Oh, I better hurry if I want to be on time!"

"Ok, we should meet up again after training and missions so we can touch base," Nanami said, standing up. "Tsukiko-sensei made it clear we were to make sure our team work didn't suffer."

"And our blind-style combat needs work," Aiyanna said, as Aki groaned.

"It sucks!"

"I know," Nanami said empathically, patting her friend on the shoulder.

"Right! Oh, sorry Nanami..."

Nanami laughed lightly. "I prefer you forget about my... disability and treat me like a normal person. I've spent my whole life being coddled, until Tsukiko-sensei came along."

"Alright then," Aki said brightly. "Let's go find our jonin! Bye Aiyanna!"

"Bye, see you later!"

"I hope so."

"Yeah, see you - Nanami you can't see..."

Aiyanna chuckled, then made her way to find this "Kurai-sensei" that she'd been assigned to for however long it would take for Tsukiko-sensei to get back.
