CHAPTER 15: Busted!!

Gabby's p.o.v:

The show was over and ethan walked me to my door, still hand in hand, I couldn't help but smile.
"Are you sure you can't stay?" I said as I turned to him looking up at him pulling a pleading face. He chuckled, pecking my lips.
"I wish baby girl, but I have to get home. I have to talk to Grayson" he said as he leant his forehead against mine. I sighed.
"But I'm sure you can text him or something" I said fiddling with the hem of his shirt.
"Gabby, come on, I'll stay for a little while but I have to go home soon." He smirks at me.
I smile and lead him inside.
"So where's Grayson then-- oh I see" I said as she noticed Ella wasn't in the apartment. Ethan wiggles his eyebrows and I laughed, I lean on him and flop on the bed.
"What do you want to do Gabs?" He says as he lays down beside me. I pull out my phone and see a message from Ella saying "you jealous G?" With a picture of ice cream. I lick my lips and type back a quick reply.
"Just lay and talk to me" I say putting my phone on the night stand and opening my arms. He lays down beside me and cuddles me, planting sweet kisses up my jawline. I shy away and rest my head in the crook of his neck. After some time I muster up the courage and say,
"I really like you, and it's annoying." I huff holding him tighter.
"Why is it annoying?" I can hear the frown in his voice without even seeing him.
"Because I wasn't supposed to fall for anyone, but I did." I pout
"Well... I really like you too Gabby" he said shifting so I moved my head out of the crook of his neck, and with his finger under my chin we share a sweet kiss.

Ethan started to fall asleep so I sent him back to his apartment.
"I'll call you tomorrow" he yawned. And I kissed him in the cheek and said goodnight.
I closed the door and laughed to myself, ella still wasn't home and it was close to 2am, what was she doing? I planned to find out.

Grayson's p.o.v:

"You have ice cream on your nose" ella laughs uncontrollably. I feel my cheeks heat as I quickly wipe the ice cream off. God I loved this. Just being ridiculous, and seeing her smile and laugh and just so carefree. It was perfect. She was perfect. We sat on the staircase outside the shop and just ate our ice cream and messed around. Ella went to take a lick of her ice cream and I shoved it into her face. The look she had towards me was priceless, the ice cream topping it all off. She then
put on an innocent, serious face, and I couldn't help it, I began to lean in, and right as our lips were about to meet she swiped her hand across her face and wiped the ice cream all over mine, before bolting down the street. I chased her, throwing my cone in the bin, I grabbed her from behind and she fell into me, tears escaping her eyes as she laughed. I felt a buzz in my pocket and reluctantly let her go, still laughing.
shit. it was almost 2am and I had gotten a text from Ethan.
"We should get going." She nodded and we began to skate home.

I gave her a quick kiss on the lips as I dropped her at her door, then I walked down the hall and up the elevator to my apartment. Tonight was beyond perfect. My girl is beyond perfect.

Ella's p.o.v:

I walked into the dark apartment with a smile, my cheeks were still warm as I pressed I finger to my lips, remembering his every touch. I just leant on the door for a few moments, remembering the night. I waddled my way into the kitchen trying not to slip on anything as the apartment was dark. Gabby must still be out, because the apartment was dark and I couldn't hear her deep breathing, which was a sure sign she was asleep. I wander toward my room and as I pass the lounge room I see a silhouette on the couch sitting straight facing me. I scream and she turns on the lamp. Fucking Gabby.
"What the fuck Gabby? Not cool." I yell at her, my heart still racing. She just smirks and me and in a teasing tone says,
"Busted."
I scoff and walk to my room. But she follows me.
"Gabby stop!" I whine cracking a smile.
"So what went down with Grayson?" She says, sitting down on my bed whilst I change into my pyjamas. I flop on the bed beside her, purposely bumping her.
"Wouldn't you like to know." I say nudging her.
"Hell yes I would, and come on, you're already busted, ethan told me Grayson had plans with you." Gabby huffs.
"That's funny, he didn't tell me we had plans, he just sorta showed up" I turn my head to look at her as she cracks a smile.
"What's so funny now G?" I say bluntly.
"Your boy Gray took you on a surprise date Ell, and that's what's up. It's so cute!" She gushed, but her mood quickly shifted into an impatient and frustrated tone, like a toddler.
"And I want to know what the fuck happened tonight Ella!"
"Oh my god Gabrielle I'm tired, and you're annoying, can't you just gush about your date with Ethan, I don't feel like talking." I yawn pulling some of the pillows off my bed.
"Ugh you're so annoying Ella! Fine go to sleep but you can't make excuses tomorrow." She gets up and pretty much stomps out of my room.
"Salty ass chip!" I yell out to her.
"Whatever. Just shut up and sleep. I'm gonna know what happened!"

Damn it. I couldn't help but giggle to myself, I wasn't getting out of this one. Gabby would slap it out of me if she had to. She was right. I was busted. I shot ethan a text knowing if he didn't get it now he would in the morning:

Ella:Good job Eth, Gabbys not letting this go :/

Surprisingly he answered almost instantly.

Ethan:Don't worry, just ask Grayson to tell her. He won't shut up ;)

I couldn't help but smile at this, but he couldn't know that.

Ella:Don't Ethan! Anyway I'm going to bed. Goodnight.

Ethan:Okay sure thing... weakling

Ella:You spend too much time with Gabby. Bye E :)

Ethan: "you dumb" bye E :)

He mocked gabby so well, and Grayson couldn't shut up. They were both adorable. The apartment was pitch black, and I fell asleep looking out at the window, seeing the same city lights that lit up Grayson's piercing hazel eyes only a few hours ago.
My body filled with warmth, my eyelids got heavy and I let myself drift to sleep.
