COYOTE
"And don't ask me for any more fucking favors, you got that!" Bobcat shrieked, flailing her arms up in the arm as if that further promoted her point.
The young girl at whom the shouts were directed at shriveled away, her eyes full of fear and rejection. She supposedly shot up all the dope my angry, pink haired drug addict of a friend left at her house, even after asking Bobcat to lend her a couple hundreds to buy some of her own. I felt a soft pity for her. The gang would be after her in no time at all.
"Yeah, get the fuck out of here before I mess you up. I'll fuck you over like you fucked me over!" She continued to scream, the raspiness of her voice amplified by the strain of her fury. She was dressed in a very large tan coat and a floral button down shirt tied up at the bottom with a pair of red bell bottoms. Her hair was a fit of crimped, teased madness, reaching heights I didn't know hair could achieve. She seemed a bit out of place to be declaring war on some thief, but she continued nonetheless.
"Damn skank, the fuck she think she is?" She mumbled furiously, yanking a cigarette out from it's pack and stuffing it between her lips.
"What are we doing today?" I questioned, reaching across to light the end of her cig with my lighter when her's refused to spark.
She shrugged exasperated. "I'm fucking pissed as shit right now, so I just wanna calm down somewhere, let loose."
"Any ideas?" I urged, leaning against a tree trunk. The park was chilly, but not enough to cause any extreme discomfort.
"We could hang at Macy's place? Knowing her she's probably got some yummy psychedelics waiting for us."
"And she wouldn't be Macy if she didn't offer her guests some of her collection." I added on, the corner of my lips tugging upward ever so slightly. A massive trip would be just the thing to keep my mind off of my overwhelming misery, I needed a mental vacation.
"Exactly." Bobcat confirmed, prodding at her wild, messy locks. "But we're not taking advantage of her kindness, no no no." She shook her finger as she spook, a chuckle forming in my throat.
"Wouldn't dare." I mock gasped, pressing my small hand against my chest.
We both laughed and I remembered why Bobcat was my best friend.
...
"Haven't seen you chicks in a while, been busy or just ignoring me?" Macy questioned with evident humor swimming throughout her bubbly tone. I managed a laugh accompanied by a shake of my head.
"A little of both, if we're being honest." I admitted, almost truthfully. But she took it as witty charm and brushed it off with a playful roll of her eyes and a sly grin.
