Hello! Happy New Year! I also will be posting a new story as well, soon!
...---...
"--Oh, hey Sayuri!" Was the first thing she heard when she stepped foot in her room. Her roommate sat on her bed while her gigantic group of friends goofed around. She held in a sigh as her roommate's friends sat on her bed. She opted to turn around and find a secluded spot in the library, but thought it would be impolite to just walk out.
"I'm just gonna get something and go," She lied as she headed to her bed. Sakura's friends moved out of the way.
"Hey, how about you stay for a while?" Sayuri turned and stared at her roommate incredulously. The pink haired volleyball player shrugged and sent her a heart-warming smile. Although she was caked in mud and dirt from her practice that ended a few hours ago, she looked outstanding.
"Nah, I just really wanna--"
"I'm not taking no for an answer!"
...---...
"This is a stupid game," Sasuke voiced her thoughts exactly. She watched blandly as Naruto took an eraser--it was marked with yes, no, and maybe on the sides--and threw it in the air. While it was in the air, he yelled out a question.
"Will I ace the exam tomorrow?!" The eraser landed on No. He let out a defeated groan before handing it over to Hinata.
Although she said her question out loud, her question was not heard. But the eraser landed on a hopeful Maybe, so she didn't care. She sent a fleeting glance at Naruto, and Sayuri had a feeling Hint's question had something to do with him.
The eraser was then handed off to Sakura. She took it with glee and asked her question under her breath. Through the many hollers of Sakura's friends, Sayuri could make out the words she said. "Will I ever meet the man of my dreams?" While doing so, she glanced at Sasuke.
No.
She blew out a frustrated breath before letting out a laugh. She then handed it to the person her friends least expected--Sayuri.
"This is a stupid game," Sayuri signed. "It will never work."
"Just try it." Sakura insisted, and her heart-warming smile was one Sayuri could not refuse. She took the eraser and started to think about her question.
She came up with one.
Will Kakashi ever accept me?
She threw the eraser in the air. No.
Sakura sensed the dread Sayuri felt and gave it back to her. "Another time!"
Will I ever get the girl of my dreams?
Since Sayuri was too shaken from the first question she asked and Sakura's friends were blocking her view, Sayuri couldn't see the answer. She didn't care; she already knew it.
Never.
With that, she walked away. But they didn't care; they never noticed.
