A few warnings: includes some slightly graphic stuff. Also, I wrote this as a draft a long time ago, so it's a bit poorly-written than I'd like it to be. But I haven't posted in a long time and I wanted to post as soon as possible, since I have a few more chapters to post on here now.
Also, wanted to announce some other thing. I didn't think it'd be that major, so I decided to announce here on my second account: I have actually have a third account, and have had it for a long while now, called MitsukiKiyoko. I created it for a separate account for any fanfics that aren't Naruto, and I actually wrote one on there. However, I wasn't really used to not writing Naruto, and so the fanfic I wrote on there sucked. Eh.
The reason why I wanted to announce was because I'm planning to write another fanfic. It's a new thing to me but I think it'd be better to experiment with other kind of anime's or fandoms and stuff, in the future as to when I attempt to write an original book again. If you do decide to read it (when it comes out), well I appreciate it and thank you very much! Sorry for inserting this self-advertisement; it's just that I've been thinking about it for a long time.
Sorry for the long note, but I hope you like the chapter! Most likely, I'll post another chapter soon. :] going on an update spree.
"What are we doing now?" Sayuri signed as she was dragged by an energetic pinkette. Another cup of coffee, the brunette presumed. It's only a matter of time before it winds down, but even then she's still energetic.
"We're going shopping." Those words made Sayuri freeze. She dug her feet into the ground so that she would stop moving, and looked at her roommate incredulously. A sudden thought worried her--what if I buy something; I'll have to pay, and I'm broke!
"By 'we' you mean you, right?"
"Nope." That statement made Sayuri blanch. The next one made her pale even further. "Oh, don't worry, I'll pay!"
...---...
"What are you wearing?" Kakashi asked the day he paid a visit. His onyx eyes scanned down his sister's body, grimacing at the sight of her attire.
It was a maroon colored shirt that clung to her sides. It was too revealing for Sayuri's taste, and had settled with a black and white flannel to cover her arms. Maroon was never Sayuri's color.
"Sakura and I went shopping."
Kakashi could only laugh. "You're pathetic. You've fallen for her, haven't you?" Her silence proved him right. "Don't worry, I'll talk to her about it."
Sayuri clenched her fists and glared darkly at the man who was supposed to be her brother. You're supposed to be my brother, she thought. Not someone who tries to sabotage my happiness.
Why can't you accept me?
Why can't you see that this is who I am?
Why can't you see that I've gone through so many efforts to make you happy, yet you still hate me?
Why can't you see that I love you and that I'm not trying to make you miserable by being who I am?
Why can't you let me be happy?
Why don't you love me?
All these thoughts, these questions desperate for answers filled her head and swarmed her entire being. She felt her mind stutter and falter, and suddenly, she could control herself.
Her feet stalked on the floor, and her hands grabbed for what she was unceremoniously searching for. Her fingers trembled, but were filled by a sudden wave of guilt and sadness and despair that pushed the object open.
Her breath was uneven, her shoulders hunched, and her eyes dilating before it even happened.
And then she raised her hand to her lips--
Sakura came home from volleyball practice to find Sayuri passed out on the floor. In her hand, was a bottle of pills.
...---...
I never wanted to end up like father. But I guess this was the only way.
