XXXIII. You light up my whole world

"Call me as soon as you get there mom okay?" I said habang ibinababa ang maleta ni mom. Phew. I can't believe na mabigat pala ito. Isang linggo lang naman si mom sa Japan pero parang pang isang buwan yung mga gamit na dala niya.

"Yes mom!" My mom mocked me. Napatawa naman ako dahil sa ginawa niya.

Kinuha ko ang isa pang bag ni mom at ipinatong ito sa maleta niya. Hinila ko ito at saka humarap sa entrance ng Airport ng biglang may yumakap sakin. Omo. Sino naman kaya to? Teka. Ang bango niya. That smell- I know that smell.

Napakahigpit ng pagkakayakap nito sakin na para bang ayaw na akong pakawalan pa.

I can feel the rise and fall of his chest as he breathed heavily.

"Don't you dare leave me Blue Smith." He whispered

I gulped when I heard his voice. Parang tumigil ang takbo ng oras ng marinig ang boses niya. Kumawala ako ng kaunti mula sa pag kakayakap niya upang maaninag ang kanyang mukha.

I was so astounded when I saw his face inches away from me. My heart almost jumped out of my body sa sobrang bilis ng pagtibok nito. Muli niya akong hinatak upang muling yakapin.

"You can't leave. I won't let you. I love you so much and I can't loose you. I can't be without you Blue. Please stay." Alex whispered, his voice shaking

My eyebrows creased in confusion. "A-alex--"

Lalong humigpit ang pagkakayakap ni Alex sa akin. "Please. Kahit ano gagawin ko. Just stay with me Ahliv. I love you." Pagmamakaawa sakin ni Alex habang humihikbi.

Parang natutunaw ang puso ko sa mga sinabi niya. Totoo ba to? Mahal niya padin ako pagtapos ng mga nangyari? Naramdaman ko nalang ang pagtulo ng luha mula sa aking mga mata.

Bumitiw si Alex mula sa pagkakayakap sa akin at saka pinunasan ang aking mga luha. He tucked the loose strands of hair behind my ears and then he cupped my cheeks. He leaned closer causing our foreheads to intertwine.

"I love you Ahliv Blue Smith." He said, looking directly into my eyes.

I was so stunned sa lahat ng pangyayari kung kaya't hindi ko nagawang magsalita, sa halip ay tinitigan ko lang ang mukha ni Alex. His eyes were teary just like mine.

His one hand made it's way on my waist and the other slipped on my chin. With two of his fingers he titled my chin upwards. He looked at my eyes as if he's looking directly on my very soul. He leaned closer, closing the gap between us before I felt his soft lips crashed onto mine. I allowed myself to kiss him back without hesitation, releasing all the emotions that I've been keeping. Parang may sumabog na fireworks sa loob ng aking katawan, sharing this intimate moment with him was too overwhelming for me. It warms my heart, knowing that he loves me too.

"Ehem!" We were interrupted nang marinig ko ang pamilyar na boses sa di kalayuan.

Agad bumalik sa wisyo ang aking isip at napatingin sa aking gilid.

My eye widened nang makita ko si mom. My mother was standing a few spaces from us. Nakapamewang ito at nakataas ang isang kilay.

"M-mom" Mahinang sabi ko

I felt Alex's hands tightened it's grip on my waist as he stood froze nang makita niya si mom. His cheeks were red from embarassment.

"That was a- a really fascinating view children." Mom said teasingly, nang makalapit ito samin

I bit my lip in embarassment while Alex tugged his hair while smiling shyly.

"Hindi mo ba ako ipakikilala sa iyong um- kaibigan Ahliv?" Muling pagtatanong ni mom

I sighed. This is so awkward.

"Um- Mom this is Alex. Alex meet my mom."

"Nice to meet you Alex. I assume youre a friend of Ahliv?" Mom asked teasingly

Alex smiled. "Nice to meet you din po. Im her boyfriend tita."

My jaw dropped nang marinig ko kung ano ang sinabi ni Alex. Boyfriend? Teka.

"Uy! Hindi ah. H-hindi po kami." Mabilis na pagtanggi ko kay mom. Saka ko siniko si Alex.

What is he thinking?

Bakit niya sinabing kami?

Oh come on Ahliv, you know you like what you heard

Oh shut up mind!

Tumingin sakin si Alex. "What? You kissed me in front of these people. I thought you should only do those things to your boyfriend?" Sabi niya sabay smirk.

"Very well. I think your boyfriend is right Ahliv. There's no point in denying it. I've already caught you in the act. Nakakatampo lang di mo sakin sinabi agad." Sabi ni mom habang pabirong nag pout

I sighed. Hay talaga naman si mom.

"Anyway, I should go. Nice to meet you Alex. We'll talk some more pag balik ko dito okay?" Sabi ni mom ng nakangiti sabay tapik sa balikat ni Alex

"As for you young lady, we'll talk about this pag uwi ko." She winked and hugged me bago pumasok sa loob ng airport. Napakunot naman ang noo ni Alex.

"Wait. Hindi ka sumama? You chose to stay?" Tanong ni Alex sakin kung kaya't napakunot din ang aking noo

"Ha? Bakit naman ako sasama sa business trip ni mom?"

Alex's jaw dropped. "I- I thought--" He chuckled and shooked his head bago niya ako niyakap muli.

"I love you." He whispered and the butterflies in my tummy went wild.
