- Are you finally ready ?
Vanessa tapped her fingers in the couch she was sitting at. She was afraid that they would be late for the match. For the first time in her life she was the one being ready earlier than any other person. She had wore her skinny jeans, Mesut's shirt and some high heels. She had questioned whether the high heels were good for a football match or not but decided that they were okay.
She was excited for that football match. Arsenal was playing against Psg for Champions League. Vanessa hadn't been to a football match since breaking up with Julian. She was a football fan from a very young age thanks to her brother. They both have been supporting Arsenal as children and Vanessa had been supporting also Wolfsburg for the past years only because of Julian. She was bored at Wolfsburg's matches anyway since they were mostly playing for Bundesliga.
- I'm ready.
Her brother said appearing in front of her. Vanessa shook her head to clear her mind from her thoughts.
- Good, let's go.
- Sure, but first wear this.
Wilson put Arsenal's scarf all over her neck. Vanessa raised an eyebrow.
- Why do I have to wear this ?
- To show that you're supporting Arsenal.
Vanessa didn't say anything. She just nodded making her way to the door. Wilson followed her and they both headed to Vanessa's car.
- Do you want to drive ?
She asked him.
- I'm pretty sure you don't know where Emirates Stadium is.
He replied taking the keys from her. Vanessa wanted to tell him that she knew where Arsenal's Stadium was but decided that it was better to keep her mouth shut.
Her brother started the engine and they were soon headed towards Emirates Stadium.
Vanessa was excited in the thought of seeing Mesut again. She had to find a way of talking to him too though.
- Whose jersey are you wearing ?
Vanessa asked noticing that her brother was wearing an Arsenal's jersey.
- No one's. Why are you wearing Julian's shirt ? I thought you didn't care about him any more.
Vanessa bit her lip. It was Mesut's shirt she was wearing but couldn't say that to Wilson. It just didn't feel right, besides, he was going to start making questions and Vanessa hated that.
- It keeps me warm.
She just replied.
Wilson raised an eyebrow at her but Vanessa acted as if she hadn't noticed it.

A considerable amount of time later they arrived at Emirates Stadium. Vanessa tried to act cool although she was way more excited than she should be.
They made their way to the stands, being close to the field. Vanessa checked her watch. They had some time before the match started. A really weird thought was crossing her mind. She wanted to go and find Mesut in the changing rooms just to wish him good luck. And because she wanted him to know that she had came to watch the match. She thought of it for a while. She then looked at her brother who was taking pictures of the Stadium as if it was the first time of him coming. Usually Vanessa was the one taking pictures all the time. Not this time though.
- How about taking a selfie ?
Her brother asked and before she could respond he had already taken one.
- Wilson......
- Yes.......
- I need to take something from the car that I forgot.
Wilson ignored her by looking away.
- I'm sure you don't need it now Vanessa.
- No, I do. I promise to come immediately.
Wilson looked at her with raised eyebrows but Vanessa ignored him.
She tried to find her way to the changing rooms but she was almost immediately lost. The Stadium was way too big and she hadn't been to it's changing rooms previously.
She was sure she wasn't going to find her way so she decided to head back to the stands. Before deciding to do so a hand pulled her gently making her turn to face that person.
- I thought I was mistaken.
The person told her and Vanessa smiled brightly.
- I told you, I supported Arsenal.
Mesut smirked, he couldn't deny that it was a pleasure seeing her again. She looked really fine with her skinny jeans and his shirt.
- You look good. Nice shirt.
Vanessa blushed but replied to him.
- Thanks. You look good too.
That was more than truth to her ears.
- I need to go back.
- I know. I just came to wish you good luck.
Mesut smiled.
If she was speaking the truth and she wasn't saying this because he bumped into her, he was really happy.
- I'll see you after the match, and next time I promise to give you my jersey, so to be obvious for which footballer your root.
Vanessa opened her mouth to defend herself and to say that she wasn't rooting for him but Mesut had already made his way to the changing rooms.
Vanessa decided to head back because she was pretty sure that her brother would question where was she and what was she doing.
Spotting her brother, she realized even from a distance that something was wrong. He had a really weird expression on his face and Vanessa couldn't do otherwise but notice it.
- Have I missed anything ?
She asked in an attempt to detect his mood.
- No, they haven't started yet. Have you found what you were searching for ?
- Yes.
She responded proudly.
Her brother nodded.
- How did you manage to unlock the car ?
- Excuse me ?
- You haven't taken the keys with you Vanessa.
Her brother said pointing the keys to her. Vanessa looked at him, only to face his pazzled look.
Before her answering to his question the twenty two players were making their way to the field. Vanessa tried to focus on that although she was constantly feeling her brother's eyes on her.

The match had finished with a draw. Mesut hadn't scored, neither had played as good as he usually played. Vanessa didn't cheer for him at all not wanting to caught her brother's attention.
- It's a pity we draw.
Vanessa commented.
- It's. I'm going to the car. Are you coming ?
Vanessa looked at the field. Mesut was making his way to the stands and Vanessa wanted to talk to him.
- Yes, sure, just give me a minute. You can go and I'm coming.
Wilson just nodded and turned to leave. He couldn't understand what was wrong with Vanessa but decided to give her some time.
Vanessa made her way to the field. Mesut smiled seeing her and she smiled back at him.
- I thought you were going to get bored and leave half time.
He commented. Vanessa chuckled.
- I thought you were going to score.
- You're way too funny mrs. Taylor.
Vanessa looked at him and then at his jersey. She knew what she she should ask him to do, knowing that maybe he was going to lose his temper.
And she liked that.
- You promised me your jersey mr. Ozil.
- I know. I have a lot of them, I'll......
- I want that.
She said pointing at the one he was currently wearing.
- I don't think you do.
- Just take it off, it's not a big deal.
Vanessa replied smirking.
- Vanessa you're way more demanding than I do remember.
- Right. Are you going to take it off, or am I going to do so ?
She asked. Mesut smirked. He liked the playful Vanessa and decided to obey since it was obvious who was the boss.
He took his jersey off and Vanessa swallowed hard seeing him half naked again.
- Here you are.
He said giving her his jersey.
Vanessa nodded.
- Thank you.
- Anyway thank you for coming. I didn't expect you to do so.
He whispered. Vanessa smiled.
- My pleasure.
Vanessa responded trying to think of something so to elongate their time together.
Mesut felt the urge to hug her and did so. Vanessa didn't even try to resist when he put his arms around her. She tried not to think that she was against his half naked body. Mesut placed a kiss to her forehead and Vanessa could have adored the moment if having not heard her brother's voice.
- Vanessa ?
He asked.
- I'm coming.
She responded freeing her body from Mesut's hug. She didn't even turn to say goodbye to him, just followed her brother wishing that he hadn't seen much of the hug.

In their way home, none of them was talking. There was tension between them although her brother was really enjoying the awkwardness Vanessa was feeling. She was holding Mesut's jersey wishing to disappear from her own car.
- I had no idea you were a fan of Ozil
He stated and Vanessa swallowed hard.
- I'm actually.
- I can see it. Since when ?
- Since a lot of time ago. I met him in celebration party after the World Cup.
- Really ?
- Yes.
Okay, that wasn't quiet a lie. Although Vanessa didn't remember it from the early beginning, it was there she firstly met Mesut.
- He was way too friendly though. I mean, the hug, the kiss......he even gave you his jersey.
Vanessa felt uneasy. She herself though questioned why Mesut had hugged her without any warning. Not that she didn't like it of course, but it was weird.
- He can be way too friendly sometimes.
She admitted.
- Is this his shirt ?
He asked pointing out the shirt Vanessa was wearing.
- Of course not. Why should I have his shirt ?
- Why should he be that friendly with you anyway ?
Her brother asked. Vanessa didn't respond. She knew that her brother was asking only out of interest but didn't feel comfortable to explain that she liked spending time with Mesut even if that was only in a friendly way. She knew that her brother was worried about her and didn't want her to be hurt again.
- He's a friend, you know. I've felt so alone since I came here and he was the only one treating me as if I was worth something.
Her brother remained silent for a moment.
- I know Vanessa and I'm glad that he's good with you. You deserve it after all.
- He's a good guy.
- I'm sure he's. Let's surprise mom now.
