Vanessa's head was turning from side to side checking paparazzi that might had followed her, till her gate. She knew that it didn't really matter now, but she couldn't stop worrying about that too.
- Call me the moment you arrive.
Her mother said through the phone.
- Will do.
Vanessa responded not really paying attention to her. Her gate was about to open. She was going in Ireland. She had packed a lot of things, not knowing how much time would she spend there and jumped in the first plane to Ireland. Technically, there was no reason of her being hasty, the moment she had agreed to go and see her brother though, decided to do it without hesitation.
- Stay as long as you need to Vanessa.
Her mother said through the phone making Vanessa come back to reality again.
- Yes, mom don't worry about me. I know what's best for me.
Well, that was a joke even to her ears but she was trying her hardest to convince her mother that she was okay.
- I love you Vanessa.
- I love you too mom.
Vanessa responded almost automatically. She was pretty sure her mother was about to burst into tears in the other end of the line.
- Take care.
- Will do, they're calling my flight. I promise to call you first thing when I arrive. I love you. Bye.
Vanessa hung up. Nobody was calling her flight, in fact her flight was going to be late but Vanessa wanted to get rid of her mother. She still didn't know if going to Ireland was a good idea. Her brother and his family had their routine and Vanessa was pretty sure was going to disturb them. She could also stay in a hotel though.
Without her realizing it, her thoughts ended to Mesut and what he had said. He wasn't going to come really after her, was he ? Vanessa was sure didn't want him to. Her fingers touched her lips briefly. Who was she trying to fool ? Apparently she couldn't fool herself.

- Pick your damn phone up!
Mesut screamed. It was the fifth time in a row he was trying to call Vanessa and she was obviously not responding on purpose. Mesut was outside her house and having rang her doorbell a thousand times, he had finally understood that she might have already been to Ireland because it was impossible for her not being irritated after so many times he had insisted on ringing her doorbell.
Mesut ran his fingers through his hair in frustration. That was enough. He had had enough. How much was he going to run after Vanessa ? He was making a fool of himself and he really hated that. He couldn't believe that she had left like that though. It was yesterday night they were talking on the phone and now she had left. Mesut had immediately came to see her after finishing his morning practice and she had already left. He couldn't handle that. He couldn't handle her and that was driving him crazy.

Vanessa walked outside of the airport ready to call her brother to tell him that she arrived. There was no need though. Arms hugged her without her realizing it. Vanessa turned to face her brother with a smile all over her face.
- Glad to see you again little sister.
- I've missed you Wilson.
- Sure you did. Come on, let's go.
He said taking her luggage.

- What do you mean she left ?
Aaron asked, kicking the ball to Mesut,
- Exactly what I'm saying. She left. She fucking left.
Mesut said kicking the ball back to Aaron.
- And when is she coming back ?
- See Aaron ? That's the problem, I don't know when she's coming back, if she comes back.
Mesut said looking disappointed.
- And what are you going to do ? I mean normally I wouldn't have asked you this because normally you wouldn't care if she has left but it's like she's stuck into your mind.
Mesut looked at him.
- You really mean that ? That it's like she has stuck into my mind ?
- Well, yes.
- Is it like I'm obsessed with her ?
- Totally obsessed.
Aaron responded with a smirk.
- Well, you would be either if you knew her better.
Mesut replied trying to defend himself.
- Why Romeo ? What's so addictive about her ?
Aaron teased.
Mesut stared angrily at him.
- That's not what matters.
Mesut insisted.
- So what is it that matters ? Listen Mesut, we have important -and I mean that- important stuff to care about and believe me your little crush is not one of them. We need to be focused on the matches that follow, especially for the Champions League ones, remember ?
Mesut nodded.
Above all he knew that Aaron had his point there.
- I know you're right. But if I don't make things clear for both of us, I don't think I'll be able to focus on what it's really important.
- Then it seems like you don't have a choice.
Aaron protested.
- What do you mean ?
- You said it yourself that if she leaves without you talking you'll go after her. I think it's your opportunity to prove that you meant it.

- Look who's here!
Wilson screamed opening the door.
The kids ran to hug Vanessa.
- Aunt Vanessa!
- How long are you staying ?
- Do you have candies ?
- Do you want to see what mom bought me for my birthday ?
The two children continue hugging Vanessa while she was trying to respond to all of their questions.
She had missed them. She hadn't seen them for a long time and she was actually glad she was there. Maybe it wasn't that much of a bad idea, coming to Ireland after all.

Vanessa had ignored on purpose Mesut's calls. There was no need of him knowing that she had already been to Ireland.
The night was dark and Vanessa was in the guest room. She was relaxing reading a book when she heard a knock on the door. After a few seconds Dana's head appeared in the door.
- Are you alright ?
She asked Vanessa.
- Fine. Thank you for everything.
- Don't be silly. Can I come in ?
Vanessa nodded and Dana made her way to her bed.
- Have the kids slept ?
Vanessa asked her.
- Well, yes they've got school tomorrow.
- Yes, I think they're disappointed.
Vanessa commented.
- Yes, enough with the kids. I wanted to ask you previously but the kids were there so I thought it wasn't a good idea.
Dana started.
Vanessa looked at her raising her eyebrows.
- What do you want to know ?
- Anything that's going on in your life recently. I already know about your movie. Any.......fling going on ?
Vanessa looked at her. She knew what she was trying to learn. No doubt her brother hadn't kept his mouth shut.
- Not really.
She responded.
- Really ? I thought you were seeing someone.
- What made you think so ? Except my brother saying bullshit of course.
Vanessa said cocking an eyebrow.
- He hadn't said anything Vanessa. I'm just wondering if there's something going on.
- No. There isn't.
- I believe you. You would tell me if it did.
Vanessa stared down. It didn't matter saying Dana she guessed.........
- Well, I don't know but maybe I do have feelings for someone.
Dana looked at her interested now.
- Go on.
- It's just that he makes me feel special and I like it, but...........but it's not that simple.
- Wilson said that he's a teammate of Julian.
- So Wilson told you..........
- Only basic things. He wasn't sure what to think. He said that you've gone in dates and that he showed up in the middle of the night at your place ?
Dana asked confused.
Vanessa smiled, she had forgotten that.
- He did.
She admitted.
- Sounds pretty amazing.
- It's not Dana. He.......I mean we........ this isn't going to work and I can't pretend that he's not a teammate of Julian's.
- So, that's the problem ?
- There's not only one problem. It just doesn't work. And I know I shouldn't be thinking of him in the way I do, but I can't help it. Except from the fact that he's super hot, kisses incredibly ?
- You have kissed ?
Dana asked smiling.
Vanessa rolled her eyes.
- Dana I'm not your teenage daughter. I've been kissed before. Now where was I ?
- You were saying that he kisses incredibly............
- And he does. I don't think anyone has kissed me the way he did. He's perfect in any way possible.
Vanessa covered her head in her hands. This whole thing didn't feel right.
- What's the problem honey ?
- I don't know. I'm sure that I like him, there's no need to deny it anymore.
- So what's the problem ? Doesn't he feel the same ?
Vanessa looked at her.
- He said he does.
- And ?
- And why should I believe him Dana ? I barely know him. What's knowing someone for a couple of months ? He could be lying, you know that. Julian was insisting that he loved me, only to leave me some days before us getting married. Have you forgotten that ?
Dana nodded.
- Maybe you're right. I don't know what to say. I guess you know him and you could tell what he's up to, but Vanessa you can't live the rest of your life afraid that you might get hurt. This isn't how life works. Give him a shot. Maybe he's worth it.
- And what if he isn't ?
- At least you'll know that you tried.
- I'm so afraid Dana. What if he's like Julian ? Or even worse than him ?
Dana smiled at her.
- Worse than him ? Well, it could be. I'm leaving, you need to sleep a bit. You must be tired.
Dana said making her way to the door.
- Good night.
- See you tomorrow.

Some jogging could clear her mind and since Vanessa had to do that in ages, she decided that there was no better timing than that. It was early the next morning and she would spend the day alone in her brother's house which seemed pretty boring to her so exercising a bit wouldn't cost a thing. She thought about the conversation she had with Dana. She still had no idea what she should do because it was impossible for her to keep Mesut out of her mind.
If only he was the one deciding for both of us.
She thought at the same time that she felt her phone ringing.
