Chapter 1: First day back
●Lucy's pov●You can already hear the gossip once you step inside the front doors of FTH, and the anxiety of many girls wondering if their outfits will impress the boys for their first day back.
My white raggedy sneakers squeak against the newly polished floor, my jeans hug my legs and stop in the middle of my calves... I guess you could call them caprice; the rips in them show off my newly tanned thighs from the summer.
My t-shirt is what I love the most about my outfit "you're not Bae, you're baesic"
I guess you could say I was going for the lazy look.
Oh well, I still feel pretty.
My Long blonde hair is tied up, swaying back and forth in its pony tail to the middle of my back, spreading around the smell of vanilla and strawberries as I pass by.
Entering the cafeteria to grab my schedule, I hear my name being called.
"Lucy!" A familiar voice shouts my name.
I turn to find short Levy fighting her way through the massive crowd.
"Levy!" I yell in glee and I wrap her in a bear hug once she makes it to me.
Yeah, of course we hung out all summer, but this is high school, you have to be dramatic.
It's required.
"Are you on your way to get your schedule?" She asks, looping her arm through mine.
"Yeah, we need to see what classes we have together, it can not be like last year at all." I state as we push through the crowd to make it to the lines.
Last year I only had two classes with Levy, which made my year terribly boring at moments.
"Don't worry, you're bound to have one of the crew in every class." she assures me as we step in line.
"It better not be with the guys" I narrow my brown eyes "they're so annoying."
"Yeah, but we love em'"
"How can you not?" I give in slightly salty.
We stand in silence already understanding each other through glances and movements as we wait.
It's a thing best friends develop.
"Hey Shrimp, Hey lucy." Gajeel pops out of nowhere making me jump.
"Hey! Where have you been all summer?" Levy asks, laughing at my scare.
Gajeel huffs as he crosses his arms "my dad made the family go up into the mountains for "extreme living"" his air quotes make me grin.
"Sounds like a wonderful time." I tease, already knowing how crazy his family is.
He snorts looking around the cafeteria "just wait till' I tell you the story."
"Can't wait." I say truthfully, his stories about his dad's boot camps are the best, especially when Gajeel is the one taking the hit.
