•A week later•

Days later, I still feel proud of myself for avoiding Meredy since she cornered me in the janitors closet.

Her persistent texts go unopened, her wandering hands in the lunchroom stay to herself, and her mouth has somehow stayed shut.

I always come up with some excuse as to why I can't come over to her house, and I think she's finally getting frustrated with me.

Deep down she's a nice girl and I know she's struggling with the idea of being the bitch who broke the news.

There are so many stigmas in this school it's crazy; if you sleep with someone, you're a slut, if you date someone in you're friend group, you're a homie hopper, if you stay single, you're a prude, if you stay inside too much, you're the weird kid.

And I don't want Lucy to get any of those titles because I know in my heart, that even if she's "Queen bee" they will still talk about her just as much as anyone else.

The only thing that's really tearing me apart is not telling her about all of this.

I haven't told her what happened, and I don't think I ever will, I don't want her thinking that I'm some stupid boy for not listening to her.

I don't have a choice in telling her anyway, if I did tell her, that would trigger Meredy to tell the whole school what happened between Lucy and I.

Because I know for sure Lucy would confront her.

I can practically feel Meredys eyes burning into the back of my head as we sit in class.

My phone buzzes as if on que.

I don't pick it up right away, as if letting her know that I don't want to talk.

After a moment of hesitation I pick it up anyway, I don't know what she'll do if I just end up ignoring her to her face.

I unlock my phone under the table, trying to hide it from our substitute for the day.

Typical teacher "meeting" left us with all subs today.

Witch💁: why have you been avoiding me?

Me: I haven't??? What do you mean?

Witch💁: Obviously you have been, we had a deal remember.

Me: We didn't make a deal, you blackmailed me.

Witch💁: does it matter? You still have to obey me.

Me: you make me sound like a dog

Witch💁: you practically are, now be a good boy and come over tonight :)
