Gossip:
●Lucy's pov●The next time I stepped onto school grounds I was nervous, especially since I'm not sure what Sting and I are.
On top of that I haven't heard from Natsu in a couple of days.
If he did hit me up, would I even respond? If I did would that make me a bad person?
I mean I'm not dating either of them; I'm taking Sting to Homecoming, and Natsu and I are barely even fuck buddies.
But what if we were?
I push the thought out of my mind as I walk into the Lunch room, spotting my table the second I enter, all of my friends slowly pooling into the seats.
I hadn't been to the first few classes of the day due to oversleeping, embarrassingly enough.
I was up all night studying for the test this afternoon.
I glance at Stings table to find him planted there with a cute smile as he talks to Rouge.
I quickly make my way over to him just to let him know that I'll be sitting with my group.
I ruffle his hair as I sit down next to him, a scowl quickly appearing on his lips.
"Lucyy" he had a gleam of humor behind his eyes despite his facial expression.
"Oops" I giggle before turning to everyone "Hey guys" I give them a friendly smile.
"How are you, Lucy?" Yukino quips happily as ever.
"I'm good, just tired of these tests" I run my hand down my cheek.
She nods aggressively in agreement and Rouge begins talking about his advanced calculus test that I immediately tune out.
"I'm gonna go sit with my friends" I smile at him.He gives me a small one in return "No need to tell me, you can sit with them if you want"
I blink for a second realizing letting him know kinda felt like a girlfriend-boyfriend type of thing to do.
I cough slightly "yeah"
He laughs at my obvious uncomfortableness.
"Okay, I'll go now" I run off in a hurry, internally face palming myself.
After our date I sort of feel an obligation to not betray Sting, but as he just pointed out, in a small way, I don't need to do that since we aren't an official thing.
I near my table, Natsu and Gray already scooting away from each other to make me some room.
I suddenly become nervous seeing Natsu's well defined back in his black shirt.
I shake my head slightly as I come within ear shot.
"How'd your date go with lover boy" Gray teases loudly to the whole table.
I feel the scowl slowly make its way to my lips "it wasn't a date"
Even though it technically was, it felt weird saying it in front of Natsu and everybody else.
I slid in between them and my arm sliding against Natsu's made me super aware of his presence, not being able to think about anything other than what he has been doing.
"Mhm, sure" Gray continues, making everyone laugh at my distress.
"So, did you find a dress?" Levy asks excitedly as she munches on her sandwich next to Gajeel.
I nod, realizing I didn't take any photos of it when I finally tried it on after Sting dropped me off after the beach.
"It's blue, but I don't have any photos" I frown
I feel Natsu's foot tap mine under the table and I stiffen, wondering if it was an accident.
"I'll just come over later to look at it" she waves a dismissive hand that Gajeel eyes.
Everyone was sucked into their own conversations, immediately tuning Levy and I out after hearing dresses.
I glance at Natsu from the corner of my eye, nervous to talk to him since the last time was over text, and it didn't go so well.
He was busy eating his food and scrolling through his instagram, Oblivious to my wandering gaze.
I want to say something to him, but what if he is still mad?
His foot and leg are still pressed against mine, his body heat keeping me warm.
It always did amaze me at how warm he was.
"So, my house or yours?" He looks to me suddenly, startling me with his question.
"What?"
"My house or yours?" He repeats himself again, as if I'm supposed to know what that means.
I glance at everyone else to find them stuck in their own conversations still.
"Um..." I didn't want to answer what I assume is a dirty innuendo.
A mischievous smirk makes its way to his face and he leans in slightly making me stiffen even more.
"Don't be so dirty" he leans back "while you were gone for whatever reason-" I could hear the slight annoyance in his tone"-we got a new project that requires partners, and teach thought sticks in a cup was a good idea."
I choose to ignore the first part and sigh in response to the project, of course they would add that on top of tests.
"You can come over" I sigh, rest my chin in my palm.
"Why so sad?" He questions, making me confused on to why he's being so nice after our texts.
"I just don't want to do it" I whine "I already was late for studying and now they want a whole project, on what?"
He pauses as he tries to think "I think she said it was the greeks?"
Relief washes over me "Okay nevermind, I did a whole presentation on the same thing last year and never threw away my old papers"
"Okay cool, that means I can stay home and play videogames" he grins.
I give him a smack upside the head that he grimances at "no you're not, you're coming over to put the stupid board together."
He groans "fine, but I'm only going to do it tonight because I don't want it to take all week."
I roll my eyes.
Impatient as ever.
Deep down I feel like it's a bad idea to invite him over, but as the same time I can't help but want to.
I don't want him to get the wrong idea, but at the same time I kind of want him to.
What is wrong with me.
I missed my update day so here is a really rushed chapter LOL!!
thanks for reading everyone!
Can you guess what will happen?
