2. This is a spinoff of my previous novel, The King's Choice. It does not feature the protagonists of that novel, but takes place in the same world. Therefore, it's not necessary to read TKC but I do recommend it as there will be references to the events of that story. Several characters, including the heroine, were either featured or referenced in TKC.
3. To clear some things up about the setting, this is a dystopia, taking place in the future, some time after vampires waged war against humanity and won. The world is divided into Territories, each ruled by a vampire king and/or queen. Each Territory has smaller provinces, which are governed by a duke or duchess.
4. There will be some language, violence, and references to sex, but nothing too explicit.
