Chapter 21: Raili

RAILI

It was getting dark, and I decided to go with Nico to his cabin. Katherine opened the door and looked at me with disgust, i had a feeling we would be great friends.

"Youre late, Nico." she said, ignoring me.

"You didnt-"

"Just help get this cabin fixed. We'll be here for atleast two weeks."

Before Nico could protest, Katherine grabbed him by the wrist, dragged him inside and slammed the door in my face.

"Nice to meet you too," i mumbled.

I sat on my bunk and continued to finish my drawing during Mr. Sanders' Math class.

"Raili," a voice called out.

"Who? What? What do you want?"

I looked to my right and saw Will Solace staring at me, a letter in his hand. He grinned happily as he gave me the paper. Thats when i noticed he was staring at my drawing.

"Hey!" i said, hugging my sketchpad.

He just laughed then walked away.

"Stupid brother..." i grumbled as i opened the letter.

It was written by hand with eligable handwriting.

Dear Kreffer,

Soon you'll regret you ever fell inlove with him. For in the next 24 hours, he will be mine. He wont remember finding anything special about you.

Remember those words, Kreffer...

He will be mine.

After reading the letter, i freaked out. Whoever wrote this was talking about Nico. I figured it would be Lourdes, but, Sedurinna? Who was that?

I knocked on the cabin door, Katherine opened it.

"What?" she snapped,

"I... im looking for Nico." i said.

She looked at me, then looked back at her cabin, then back to me.

"He's not feeling too good," she said.

"What? Why? What happened?"

"He drank some blue shake somebody left on the doorstep. Now, run along, before he gets worse than he is now."

Again, she slammed the door in my face. I had nothing else to do but wait for 24 hours.

···

"Raili, we need to talk!" Danika said for the third time.

"Danika, im not really in the mood right now, okay? Maybe later..." i said.

"Raili, this is important! You need to know now! Its about my secret!"

"Oh, now you tell me!"

I reached my cabin and slammed the door shut. I covered my ears with my pillow until the shouting stopped.

Thats when i decided to finish my drawing.
