DANIKA

My clothes were smoking and burnt. One of the storm spirits managed to catch me off gaurd.

I walked back to camp passing through the woods so no one would see me. I passed by a small clearing with a small pond in the middle. It was where i would casually meet Grover.

Now there was a Hamadryad leaning on an oak tree humming happily. When she saw me, she walked towards me, a bit worried. She looked much older than the other dryads i saw in the woods.

"Oh my! What happened to you, dear? Where is your little satyr friend?"

"I... do i know you?"

"My names Addonia, dear. I have been watching you for so long now." she said.

I backed away, creeped out. Was she... evil?

"H- how?" i asked.

She grinned and encouraged me to sit down on a rock. I sat down, carefully keeping my distance.

"You are a daughter of Poseidon, yes?"

I nodded.

"It isnt your first time here at Camp Half Blood, yes?"

I nodded again.

"And your satyr friend Grover, he has been watching you since you were just a little demigod."

I just stared at her, shocked.

"Who are you? Who told you about this?" i demanded.

She just smiled and patted the oak tree she was leaning on.

"I have been watching you ever since the beginning. I know that Grover took you here the first time and told you all about this camp. He kept you a secret, and did a very good job at hiding it."

"I... you know?"

She nodded, still looking at her precious tree. She then turned to me.

"I dint tell her everything... i think it was best if you told her youself."

"Her? Who's her?"

"Why, your friend, Janelle. A smart girl, she is. Asked a few questions about you." she said,

"And you... dint tell her eveything. So, what did you tell her?" i asked.

"I only told her the girl's name, Rachel Dare. But, being the daughter of Athena, im sure she has figured it out by now. Im so sorry, dear. I dint mean to."

"Its alright," i said, "they would find out one way or another. When Rachel gets here-"

"Then you better hurry, dear." she interrupted, "Who knows when your Prophecy will start."

···

I took a quick shower, put on my usual outfit and ran to find Janelle. I ran to her cabin but was stopped, by a voice i had been avoiding. I looked around and saw Chiron, with Janelle by his side.

"May we have a word with you, child..." he said.

"I... alright."

···

I sat across Chiron and Janelle. She did figure it out, and soon everyone would too. The centaur was on his wheelchair, which he dint feel too happy about. He kept staring at me, like i was a threat to the camp, and i was.

I couldnt stand the silence in the room, so i decided to start the conversation.

"So, you wanted a word with me?"

Chiron leaned forward then began,

"Janelle has told me about your... problem."

I nodded, and agreed with him that it was a problem, not a secret.

"As much as i would love to help you, i cant. You have to figure this out on your own. Janelle and I made an agreement not to tell anyone at camp, even your closest friends. That will be your decision, who knows, and who doesnt."
